It can be surprising how the conflict in another part of the world may affect the lives of ordinary people in the USA. Unfortunately, it can, and the influence is actually significant for all of us Americans.
The modern world is closely focused on globalization and mobility, and that is why all countries globally are tightly entwined in some terms.
In our previous posts, we already discussed the reasons why you should prepare yourself for a situation similar to the Great Depression now and the history of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine with the description of possible repercussions.
Here we will focus more on the financial sphere of our lives in connection with the increasing tensions between Russia and Ukraine.
Even though the situation is still uncertain in these countries, there is an effect of the conflict on our budgets. You should be prepared for every way his situation might develop to be able to protect yourself from its negative consequences.
To be best prepared for literally anything, also address the comprehensive articles on the Survive Nature official website.
Continue reading this review to be aware of the financial processes that are happening now in the world and make your budget unaffected by the global conflicts.
Significant Inflation Growth
One of the key characteristics of the economy that will be influenced by the developing conflict between Ukraine and Russia is the growth of inflation on a global scale.
We know that high inflation was already a problem for Americans, even before the start of this collision.
As a matter of fact, nowadays, the inflation rate in the USA equals 7.9%. It is believed that an increase in this rate will lead to a miserable situation that has not been seen in America since 1981.
The RSM estimated the possible growth of inflation affected by the crises in Ukraine and Russia: it can reach as high as 10%.
It will cause many additional problems, such as a rise in costs for electricity and heating, oil and gas, and others, as they are dependent on the natural gas price. Moreover, every sphere of economics is interconnected, and that is why every American will notice the difference in living costs.
Related: The Best States to Outlive an Economic Depression
For instance, businesses will need to augment prices for products as they will have bigger expenses for transportation and heating. The energy price will cause changes in prices for flights and other types of transportation.
Also, the production of particular goods will face a crisis as both countries that participate in the conflict export materials. Russia is a great exporter of metals and wheat; Ukraine also exports wheat and corn. It means that there will be a shortage of these products if the export is stopped.
The USA is not the only country that will face the rise of the inflation rate. Almost all countries in Europe use the natural resources of Russia and that is why they will have a shortage in energy as well.
Knowing this information you will be able to understand the changes in prices for the goods that you buy regularly. Do not be surprised when your expenses sky-rocket, as it is the most likely scenario taking into consideration the development of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Energy Crisis
The costs for energy have already increased, even though the supply of energy sources is still operating. According to statistics, the energy prices now are as high as it was in 2014 which will negatively affect all spheres of our lives.
It happens because Russia is the biggest player in this field of the market and it exports a big amount of energy to many countries.
For example, Russia produces 9.7 million barrels every day and it places Russia in second place of the world energy producers after the USA.
How the possible Russian invasion of Ukraine can influence the energy costs? The thing can in many ways disable the export of gas and oil.
Related: The First Thing You Need To Do When The Gas Price Rises Above $5 Per Gallon
Firstly, war can destroy the constructions that are used for the transportation of energy materials. Secondly, many countries will create new sanctions for Russia and this activity will change the way how energy is exported. Thirdly, war requires shifting focus to other spheres of the economy such as weapons and military equipment.
Now, the demand for energy in the world is higher than its supply and the situation may become even worse. So the crisis between Russia and Ukraine might be the reason for the increase in oil prices up to 120 dollars per barrel or even 150 dollars.
The only way to compensate for the shortage in oil supply is to decrease oil consumption and activate the production of energy by OPEC.
Changes in oil prices affect the prices for pumps as well. We have already noticed that the cost for gallons of gas increased to 3.5 dollars while the last time we saw a similar value was seven years ago.
We hope to reduce the level of conflict tension. Such events that show the prevention of war help to lower the price.
Freezing of Economic Growth
The pandemic has significantly influenced the speed of economic growth of the USA and other countries. The time is yet to come for us to be able to recover from previous damages, when the Russia-Ukraine conflict again created problems in the economy of America.
In addition to the rise of the inflation rate, the GDP will also increase by one point, according to estimations. This effect is not as significant as the rise of inflation, but still, it will hit the finances of every American.
The economic crises that happened due to the COVID pandemic produced financial difficulties almost in every American family.
If you think that such a local thing as the conflict between two countries on the opposite part of the world cannot affect you, the provided information proves that it can.
Undermining Cybersecurity
One of the less obvious ways to attack nowadays is to start a cyberattack.
Recently, President Biden has announced that Russia may cyberattack any of its opponents, including America. Even though the consequences of such action are hard to predict, we know that the effects can be harmful to the USA.
An example of a cyberattack that was significant for the economic development of the USA is the attack on the Colonial Pipeline in 2021.
This event caused unpredictable behavior of buyers, as they started to panic because of the news that the pipeline was destroyed.
This led to the termination of business for gas stations located in the South of the USA.
The most damageable cyberattack that can happen is the hacking of the financial system of the USA. It is impossible to estimate the losses that such action can cause. That is why we should be prepared for every outcome of the war developing between Russia and Ukraine.
We never know the next step that will be taken by any of these countries. A cyberattack can become one of the ways for Russia to eliminate opponents in this conflict.
Uncertainties on Market
Investors start to panic when they cannot predict the prices and situation on the market in general. It leads to various consequences such as mass sales on the stock because of the preparation for the financial crisis.
Thus, investors will be afraid of oil shortage, financial instability, unclear sanctions, and other factors that influence people’s decisions on the market.
All these events will be harmful to every citizen of the USA and not only investors. The thing is that all financial systems are interconnected. It means that the bank and retirement accounts of residents are dependent on the financial market.
So, the unpredictable behavior of investors will erase the wealth of some families, decrease the number of compensations for the unemployed, and change the banking system.
Of course, the same situations have already happened, but we cannot estimate the severity of the situation now. The most important message is that even if you do not participate in sales in the financial market, the crisis there will affect you as well.
Effect on Interest Rates
If you are interested in borrowing money from banks, be prepared for sharp growth of interest rates. The increase in interest rates is most probable as it is one of the ways to balance the inflation rate.
Maybe, you’ve noticed the interest rates rise after the start of the pandemic.
Related: What Do Interest Rates Tell Us About the Future Economic Crisis?
That time it affected the real estate market a lot, but now every type of credit line will be influenced by the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The development of the situation also depends on the approach of the Fed to the crisis. Last time they wanted to stop the rise of the inflation rate, treating it like a temporary one.
However, it illustrated that such an approach cannot help to cool off the inflation rate. Thus, the Fed may introduce other measures and will treat the inflation crisis as a constant one for the American economy.
Even if the government can compensate for the inflation rate growth without raising the interest rates, it will shift the focus of their activity from the development of the economy to struggling with occurring problems.
The conflict between the Russian Federation and the Ukraine is a crucial event for the economy of the USA, even though this country cannot control the way it will be developing.
Every American will feel the effect of this conflict on their finances for the reasons described in this review. It is a complicated task to predict the power of the hit to America’s economy, but we can be sure that it will influence the economic sphere of citizens’ lives.

most of these things are directly caused and/or controlled by the people supposedly in charge in this country. Don’t blame the russian conflict for our self made problems. It wasn’t like that back 2 years ago before the sociopath politicians used the covid bioweapon to their advantage to kill the economy off, and now continue their efforts. We were energy independent, which has a ripple effect on all the other things. This is all unnecessary. Maybe Russia is sick of being the whipping boy for the likes of the Clinton’s, DNC, Podesta and the rest of the fascists, when in fact China is the real deceiver. They have already bought off the government and we have become so lazy they control all our goods.
This country has been so busy minding every one else’s business that it has neglected it’s own usurpation by the communist’s. Now we are in deep s**t. A division of our country is about the only solution as I see it. We can’t live with people who do not recognize the constitution as our basic rules, and with people who want to run their lips but would leave if we were attacked.
The coming collapse of this nation will be the results of our messing with other foreign nations. We have had zero reason to get involved … However the elites and the NGO/CIA has to destabilize everything we don’t agree with. Its no wonder why we are the most hated nation on earth.
Minus WW2 this country has done nothing but f*** everything up
This will affect the US as much as Klaus, Obozo via Biden wants it to.
Obozo here and Trudeau in Canada both are NWO field Generals, tasked with turning their respective countries over to NWO control just as most of Europe has already been. The USA is the Big Cherry, not yet quite controlled in full by the NWO.
ONE thing in common all NWO controlled countries share is that they were ALL DISARMED FIRST !! UK, France, Germany, Austria, NZ, Australia and more… disarmed.
The noose is tightening here in the US with the semi-hoax Covid, massive rising inflation, soon to be severe gasoline shortages, and more. NONE of this is accidental or happen stance.
Thanks to the mindless minions to voted for Biden, which in effect was a vote for NWO Obozo’s third term – and nearly irreversible drive towards total NWO control of the USA. Almost 4th, as it was clear he at least partially controlled much of our govt even while Trump was president, opposing him every step of the way.
Care to expand on that or is that all ya got….
Last Year…a Chinese WOLF Diplomat said “Americans have Freedom, the Freedom to be Stupid.”
He then disappeared. Most Communists are atheist, with morals totally different than Americans. The Chinese Communist Party has no problem killing their own people…the CCP would kill Americans without the slightest hesitation. They created the Wuhan Virus in that Bio-warfare Lab for a reason. AND they are VERY scared of it, just look at them, 50 million locked down in the homes…they know it was designed to cause major damage to human organs.
They are strictly controlling over a billion Chinese citizens, because “practice makes perfect”. And they plan to control the world in the same way, very strictly…but they have to solve the US military challenge first. They have a plan…the same method as “Pearl Harbor”…probably an EMP fired from a sub off the coast of Texas. Blame it on Iran, and then sit back and watch our country disintegrate in our 2nd Civil War.
Getting involved in world politics and having the most powerful military means if we have to fight, we will bring the fight to them on their land, not ours. But that was the past. China would prefer not to engage our military on their land. Russia is paying the price in Ukraine, a Tank Graveyard. The world will suffer from that war (along with the ongoing China Virus). Possibly there will be a major economic downturn in the next 24 months. US cities will burn…
We are now a country of mostly uneducated people. Our education system is ranked 32 out of the top 32 industrialized countries. When I was in HS, we had the #1 education system in the world.
Now China has the #1 ranking.
As someone famous said “History Repeats Itself”
WW1 and WW2 were not fought on our soil. But the US Civil War was…and it was REAL BAD. Again…”History Repeats Itself”. We very likely will have a 2nd Civil War in the next 10 years. WHY? The world is going to collapse due to some major unexpected issue, most likely economic, but possibly WW3, or a simple sneak attack…on our land…and with the EMP Nuke, the USA problem is solved.
In my opinion, prepping in plain sight will fail…you must go underground, unfortunately that costs a lot.
A heavily armed country town of 5,000 people could stop the bad guys when they show up.
Our government is “asleep at the wheel”…we need to elect the right people next fall…if not, we will have sealed our great countries fate, just another Roman history repeating itself.
We are up to our asses in the Ukraine because the Ukraine has the goods on the Biden crime family.
Inflation hit 8.5 today, the highest in 40 years. That is all on Biden not Russia or Ukraine.
Easy to point fingers. Plenty to point at too.
Surviving, and doing it well, needs to be my focus. Being alone in my home and having a 64 year old lady who’s a friend of the last 45 years with her little grandkids to help makes it harder but a bit less lonely. They live in a small residence on my property. Thankfully I’m still active and healthy.
Can’t get too caught up in the world but it’s worth watching. I’m trying to prep two homes. My resources are limited. I’m 74, a woman, on Social Security. Yet we’re continuing to move forward and doing well. It’s a daily fight just to keep gas in the pickups. But stores and preps continue to grow. My strength is improving since covid but its been a slow two years. Every spare nook is about as full as it can get. My aim with my old fiber glass long bow is reasonably gratifying again. My camping equipment that was stolen is replaced at last. We’re a month from the usual end of freezing nights. I’m planning a camping and fishing trip. I hope to catch enough to eat fresh and can some for later but I need this break. Baring an EMP I’m going. If war spills over to here then I’ll face that. If we were to have to defend our homes like Ukraine is doing today, then so be it. I’m not afraid of death. It’s being dependant that would scare me. But myown government is my greatest unrest and concern.
I am begining to think your right about not getting involved. To get involved means you may have to take action of some sort. In your position I would do just as you are doing.
But I do think you should either hide the stuff you really need or secure it in some way it can not be taken. A few cheap trail camera’s hidden around will let you know who is coming around when your not home and if they take something the sheriff then has proof.
Some self history before my reply to the multiple subjects in this article: just turned 66, worked for the same Engineering/Construction company for 28 years. The company is one of the largest in the world, it has office and projects around the world. At the age of 62, the project I was working on had a workforce reduction by half the size. President Trump cut the budgets to help pay for his tax break for the rich. This Engineering/Construction company is a very big Republican company and Republican donor. Fist time I lost almost all of my 401K and stock optionns went down to nothing was during President Bush Sr. administraion. Built it back during the Clinton Administration by increasing my dontribution to my 401K. But then came along the Bush Jr. administraion and the biggest housing bust in U.S. history, lost all but $50k out of $500K, that really hurt my plan to retire comfortable. Then came along Obama adminstration, doubled my input to my 401K and put more toward my house payments, principle. Then came along the Trump administion and started to watch my 401K shrink. Job loss happened and took a $70k hit on my 401K. Decided to retire, took enough out of my 401K to payoff my house and my recently purchased pickup truck. Was brought up as a family that did food storage, survivalism, and preparedness. Never took a handout from the government or a church, depended on doing the right thing for our family, neighbors, community and country. Served 10 years in the USAF and was received an honorbable discharge, Vietnam era vetran.
Subjects of this article:
Russia and Ukraine – export of wheat and corn – U.S. will need to stop paying farmer to not plant crops in the fields.
Metals in Russia are in other countries including the U.S. – mining can be done safe and correctly.
Same with energy (oil and gas) but U.S. oil and gas companies don’t want this as do the middle-eastern countries. Locally (U.S. oil and gas companies) can decide to get on board or be completely replace by others in time. Not to mentiongoing green.
Pandemic – you/we know that the Covid virus will not just go away – weaar your masks, social distance when possible, and get completely vaccinated if you want to protect yourself and those around you. If one decided not to do this, that’s okay. Just don’t go to the hospitals asking to be taken car of and taking up a bed for those that played by the guidelines and need the bed for surgery.
Cyber security – keep your anti-virus up todate. switch to Apple phones and the like. They are far safer. As far as U.S. and other companies – will have to keep themelves save and the pressure on hackers to keep the world cyber safer.
Market up’s and down’s are part of the system – most of your readers don’t have much in the market.
Per older articles that have been posted on here have directed these subject to take certian actions. Stop pointing a finger at all the others and think about how one can deal with one own issues.
Interest rates – read previous articles that have been posted on here. Don’t create new dept by purchasing a house or car you can’t afford or payoff completely when purchased. Payoff credit card dept if you use the credit card be able to payoff with-in the month so interest rates don’t effect/affect your billing statements. Put you funds into your house, car, preparedness such as food storage and the like. Most of us have enough ammo on hand (stop wasting it at the shooting range) and don’t need more at this time, especially at the current price of ammo.
In conclussion: Stop pointing your finger, start taking care of what you can control and think about others (your family, neighbors, community and country). Don’t worry about the market, interest rate and things you can’t and don’t control.
Nam era veterian lol…. so no deployment .
First i agree with some of it…. .however good luck paying cash for a house…. Most can’t live with mom till their 30. .
stop shooting ? yeah no training is key to staying sharp.
here is to the Nam era vet….
so you’re a true believer in the covid bs…. Ok well you enjoy living in fear and wearing a face diaper. take the poison and leave the rest of us alone.
Yeah and i bet you think trump was born from a virgin too…
Of course not we all know that was Oblahblah.
WMD part of it is because of Biden and junior. But I believe we would be involved no matter who was President. The reason is we can not stand back, do nothing. If we did nothing then Russia would think they could take any country they wanted with no repercussions.
Yeah Dreaded I’ll go along with that.
Not our. Fight
Dreaded, my car was broken into and I had the whole thing on camera, including very clear views of the two punks who did it. When the police came, maybe 20 minutes after the event, I pulled up the camera on the laptop. The cop turned his head away and refused to look at the screen. I’m surprised he didn’t end up with a neck injury, he turned so hard and fast to make sure he didn’t see evidence of a crime.
Well then you should have taken that evidence and went over his dam head. I would have went all the way up the chain until I got them to make an arrest. I would post the camera views on FB, Twitter, and every where else and how the police acted. It is your video so you can legally post it and tell what happened. This is called freedom of speech.
As to that cop I would have told him to leave and never come back to my home because you are a crooked cop. Then I would have taken the video to his chief and then to the mayor and so on until they did something about it.
I know you can fight city hall but you can make them dam uncomfortable. They do not like bad publicity. Once it is on the net it is there forever.
Dale cops are only around to be road pirates…. They want to issue you a speeding ticket and not solve crimes. That requires the lazy bastards to work and do a job. They would rather kill you and your family because they hate you having guns too.
Yeah.. It’s certainly a shame that the Globalist Oligarchs who control both NATO and the pedo-sniffer meat-puppet we call a president found it necessary to bait Russia into this conflict. I guess something had to be done to dog-wag the public’s attention away from Hunter Biden’s laptop and all the mounting evidence against the poison MRNA shots.
True news however this has been talked about for some time on other true news sites…also, the inflation rate is more like 17%. Those in charge, ahem, don’t count gas & food because we don’t need those you know. Totally corrupt and evil administration.
Yes that is very true. The report even said the 8.5 did not include fuel or food. They also use a completely different formula than they use to to determine inflation rate.
The increase in inflation for gasoline alone over the last 8 or 10 months is 47%. 8 to 10 months ago I could buy gas for 1.85 a gallon. now it is 3.50.
3.50 – 1.85 = 1.65
1.65/ 3.50 = .47 X 100 = 47% increase in price. Now just where does the government get 8.5%
Gas will increase the price of goods maybe not a full 47% but a lot more than 8.5%
WMD looks like we got a couple libs that believe all the crook and bull the leftest party puts out. Look at those down votes we got lmao.
if they used the same formula like they did in the 70s. We would be at 17 to 19 percent but the gov wants to lie to the public.
There are 3 reasons for inflation: The printing of money, the printing of money and the printing of money. Everything else is just a byproduct of that over printed money.
Significant increases in US inflation began with Covid and the 6 to 10 TRILLION dollars the FED created out of thin air to deal with this non-disease. It just diluted every dollar in existence (inflation) upon doing so – and this was well before war broke out in the Ukraine.
Firstly, thanks to Mike for an excellent overview of the situation, and thanks for your service.
However, I must disagree with your assessment of the fuel crisis that we are now facing. That is due primarily to Biden’s blind commitment to the Green New World psychoscam, and his subsequent shutdown of US petroleum production, coal production and the proposed oil pipeline. Had he kept his promise to not do these things, (and I’ll pause for the laughter at the notion of a career pol keeping a campaign promise), we would not be in as big of a mess as we are now.
Of course, the plandemic, the systematic gutting of our food production and domestic manufacturing over many years, and the failed policies of the push to “go green” with wind and solar were also huge factors in the subversion of the American economy.
In the end, we are just reaping what we have down.
Agreed, Biden created the fuel shortage and did it deliberately.
Yes we are in a world of s****. My belief is it is going to get so bad the banks close. They will have no choice but to close when the value of the dollar which is already small and growing smaller each day gets to a cetain point because the banks are tied to the rest of the world and they will not want our calapse to close their banks. Biden started this when he stopped the fuel independence by closing the pipe line and going back to the green.
They are bring in millions of Ukrainions which I am all for (for humanitarian purposes). But New York has a law that is against the constitution that allows aliens to vote after they have been in residence 30 days. So this appears to be another way the communist are going to get libs back in office.
All we can do is take care of our own and kill any foreign invaders.
I did Meant foreign military invaders. Not just people trying to survive.
I am involved in annual budgets and had to learn how to figure out cost increase percentages to submit to the upper echelon. The inflation of $1.80 per gallon gas to $3.50 per gallon is close to a 95% increase in price. $1.80 x 1.95 = $3.51, the .95 being the % amount of increase. Or you can do it long form: 1 x $1.80 = $1.80 per gallon, PLUS 0.95% x $1.80 = $1.71 increase per gallon, total of $1.80 + $1.71 = $3.51 per gallon. There are more ways to calculate but they all come out very close to 95% increase in cost per gallon, such as 94.4444%, and so on. Any way you figure it, it’s a huge increase that was intentionally caused by the current administration.
This is going to continue to get worse as long as the Libtard’s remain in power and are allowed to destroy the US from within.
We all know how to stop this.
well the only way to stop this is to split off and let this country collaspe
Robert Kenneth Ellsworth,
Maybe you lost in the 401 K because your investments was wrong in your 401 K. I lost almost all my 401k during the obama presidency and never recovered it. I had 20k built up then overnight I had 1000$ it gradually got back to 4000 and I was given insider info and told another crash was coming and withdrew it all. The next 8 years under obama the industry I worked in barely survived so take your backward leftist ideas about Trump and keep them to yourself. Under Trump I finally was able to pay my bills and start to put some back again. But now under this Biden I am glad I don’t have to worry about any 401K becasue now I am on SS only with no backup funds with inflation going through the roof. Don’t tell me about the leftist and what they are doing because everything they have done is for their benifit not ours.
There are two levels of historical reality. The first is the general so-called public opinion that is served to the average citizen by the mass media and will later, because of persons writing it down, become the official history. The second one though is made up of the happenings that are not revealed to the public. This my dear ladies and gentlemen is the world of machinations by secret lodges and secret societies who interlink capital, politics, economy and religion. On this level nations are made, wars are instigated, presidents and leaders are put in office and, in case they DON”T function, ousted or eliminated. The citizen who fashions his opinion and views of the world from what he has gathered from the mass media like Hollywood, news papers, magazines, TV, radio, book learning via public school education ( thank you D. Rockefeller & Co.), and common literature will find himself what has been happening in this country and abroad unfamiliar with. Thoughts like: …”I never heard of that!”… are understandable because secrets and the dealings of secret lodges only fulfill their purposes if they remain secret. The very existence of secret lodges show that there must be something that the lodge brothers find important to keep from the public view.
Example:
One of the main organizations pulling the strings in the U.S. is the CFR ( COUNCIL OF FOREIGN RELATIONS). This semi-secret organization is dominated to this very day by the Rockefeller syndicate and the European secret society called ” COMMITTEE OF 300″. The list of the ” Committee of 300″ can be found in Dr. John Coleman’s book ” Conspirators’ Hierarchy: “The Committee of 300”, published in 1991.
Coleman, a British MI6, served in the Angolan Height war. He discovered classified documents on the body of a dead agent who had been killed nearby a small village. The content of the papers made him not only outraged, but rattled his soul and conscious. After escaping the carnage, he returned to England but had to flee the country shortly thereafter to stay alive. It was in 1992, during a public speech in Dallas, Texas, where under heavily armed guards he addressed his dire warnings to the audience including large numbers of veterans. Coleman’s impeccable knowledge about the Us Constitution is one of his master pieces among constitutional literature. No one, to this day can come close to it. His work can be found throughout the internet. His books, White Papers and publications have been translated into eight languages.
Moving forward:
After 9/11, many of our best agents in the intelligence service resigned. Their public speeches, including reasons why they were leaving their positions, could be followed on C-span1.
It is a fact, that the constitutional ‘United states of America’ since the end of the Civil War ( 1861-65 ) has been taken over in 1971/73 and turned into an unconstitutional ‘United States of America Corporation’ with a centralized banking system owned and controlled by the Rothschild & Co. bankers, and with the criminal and unconstitutional ‘Federal Reserve Act’ in 1913 has enslaved every American citizens from cradle to grave.
All wars are banker wars.
Thank you vrilforce, and you are absolutely correct. The thing of it is, they think they have it all worked out, and even the best made plans can go to waste. Right now there are so many variables that are awake, sick and tired and have many different angles on the whole thing. Just to think that these anointed ones can take over and unilaterally control the whole world is insane. They are insane and sociopaths. I suspect that as things unfold into mass chaos, there will be no controlling the repercussions and spin off. That is when good will rise and evil will sink. Certainly they will have to kill off billions and will try, but the violence and blood will start waking those asleep for so long. Keep your eyes on china and shanghai to see what develops and what to expect. The time is close at hand as elections are coming up here, which of course the fascist’s are already preparing for amazing results.
Raven tactical Prepper expert,
Anyone that thinks a Veitnam era vet is nothing because they were not ordered to Veitnam is so full of bs they are no longer worth listening to.
If you served in the military which I do not think you ever have and you would know you go where your ordered to go. You have no choices in the matter. The people that served during veitnam took the same chance as the one that went as far as being ordered. We could have been ordered to Veitnam with only a 2 week to 30 day notice. I was up on orders to Nam twice but they were canceled after about a week for reasons unknown to me. But we served we did what we were ordered to do and that is all any military personnel can do. Does that mean we would not have gone? no Does that mean that some of us wanted to go and never was allowed too? yes
So if you don’t know what you talking about shut up. I served, did my time and was willing to go. I have friends that died in Veitnam. If you think for a minute I did not want to go and avenge my friends then your so stupid that even the lowest IQs would be geniuses compare to you. You can volunteer for Nam but guess what that does not mean they will allow you to go.
relax Dreaded, I’m there with you and maybe was in Nam. Just ignore em like we did when we came home and were called baby killers.. We had no real choice, get drafted or leave the country. Beautiful , right ? Sure has changed my opinion about the politicians that “run” things.. They could sure care less about anyone but themselves. They have long forgotten that they are our servants. Turned it around to the people being their slaves, and if everybody realized that, we’d all have a lot in common and a united force.
Raven says no body cares well there is more that care than he thinks and maybe a small percentage like you that only care about themselves. Those people will be the first to die in the event. Why because they will try something because they think they can get away with it and some poor old sole that has little left but back bone will say he just made my day after he kills you..
And Dreaded was one who complained when he started here about the name calling…
You are right I should not let it get to me but it makes me mad because if they feel this way about the ones that did not go then you know how they feel about the ones that did. I never went to Veitnam but I took my chances, worried about my freinds that did, Morned the loss of friends and people I knew that lost their lives there and worried about having to go myself. All this even if you did not go takes a toll on you not only for the reasons above but because you knew what is going on from others that came back.
The government has never give a dam about the people of the USA.
I do not have any pride in or government but I am Proud of my brothers and sisters that served.
Just to clear up a little – I’m a disabled veteran – hearing loss – working aroung fighters and bombers, loss of right knee – jumping in an active area, left foot damage – stepped on bambo spike, shot 3 times (1 chest, 1 stomach, 1 in lft upper thigh), eyesight loss.
It is really sad how any veteran would dis another veteran no matter what.
Would suggest a few go back an read my posting. Did not say to stop practicing your shooting. Did suggest that one gets themselves out of debt and to get prepared.
Now as far as my loss in the maket and my 401K – again go back an read my posting. Then do your research on which presidential periods has the market favored the USA citizen “Presidents and the Stock Market” or “Democrats or Republicans: Which is Better for the Economy?” or on Wikipedia: “U.S. economic performane under Democratic and Republican presidents”
Man you stolen Valor types go full in on your stories
I only know what it appeared to be to me about the stock market, economy and job availability. Has the government ever told you the truth about the economy, job rates or inflation? NO they have not.
I was just a worker in a plant inn 2008 -2009 when stock crashes happened. I had a 401k through the plant I worked for. It had 3 levels you could chose from 1 was so called safe, 2 was med risk and 3 was risky. I chose safe 1 witch the investments that was from my 401k was chosen for me by the ones taking care of the 401. I had little over 19k for 4 years of macthing funds from the company in the 401 then in 2008 a crash happened that left me with a little over 1000$ I was told to leave it be and it would regain so I did. Well it started rebounding and got back up to around 4000$ and then my boss came to me and told me another crash was on its way to withdraw my funds. Witch I could because wife had medical issues. So I with drew the funds and got back around 3500 after taxes and fees. Then the crash happened again. Some of the others decided to leave their 401k alone and see they were younger and if they lost they would have had time to start over. They lost almost all of it and the 401k they had the money in never recovered before the company was forced to close out the 401 plan due to the markets not buying their products. The president was democratic at the time. Next came layoffs in 2009 witch I was laid off This was for the same reason the company had only a few sales. I was able to only get part time work because of the decisions the democratic party made that directly affected the company I worked for. I was 59 at this time. This went on for 6 more years then Trump got in and things took a drastic change and I was back to full time but at the time I was now 65 years old. So I had no time to try to get any more retirement put back before retiement was forced on me(the company had ended the 401K and never brought it back). So what would you feel about the democratic peices of S*** in office if this happened to you? I know exactly the way I feel. I barely had time to get my bills in order before I was no longer working.
The democratic party made changes that affected industry, no matter who claims otherwise they made the changes that almost did us in back in 2008 – 2016. Then Trump comes along and wow things reverse. Now Biden is in and again it reverses and if anyone claims it is not Biden and his policies they are either very brainwashed, dumb or they are getting paid to say it. All anyone has to do is take a close look at how the prices of products have increase and do their own calculations to the infalation rate and they will see it is not 8.5% the government claims, it is way way higher and that the government is lying to them.
So if you think I said something other then the truth as I see it and it offended you I am sorry if it offends but that is the way I feel and know from all I have read.
I hear a lot about police being crooked, being lazy, called things like road pirates etc.
Around here the majority of police are good people.
What is an Ofiicer’s job.
Everyone says that is to serve and protect. Now just what does that mean?
It means to give tickets to help keep down accidents because of people doing things they know better than to do such as speeding, running stop signs, drunk driving, etc.. It also means when a crime happens to apprehend the criminal. But the officers have to continue doing the basic work which is patroling, giving tickets when neccessary while looking for these criminals.
They risk their lives just making a traffic stop because some stupid person thinks they can get away or draw a gun.
This is not the case with most officers. Is there bad officers? Yes
Is their bad neighbors living close to you? yes
It is the same for any group you will have good and bad.
Also there is Detectives. These detectives are the ones that mainly investigate crimes. What you see on TV is for show nothing more and it does not give the truth about Police.
The police officers I know will not give a ticket unless you have done something to desirve it and even then sometimes they just warn you.
you mean they have a job they do like everyone else and you assume we should be in awe of a guy who gives people tickets because they went 10 miles over the suggested speed on a road.
Or pull someone over for window tint..
Cops are given immunity, So when they get the wrong address and gun your family down. They get a paid vacation and sent back to work. They do hate the armed community and funny how they can pull a gun on you and get away with it. But if you pulled a gun on them…. its you that gets fired.
No knock raids should be made illegal and Cops that kick a door into your home should be blasted if they dont show a warrent .
The police give tickets and arrest people for non-crimes all day long. Their primary role is not public safety; it’s revenue generation. Virtually every time a cop abuses a citizen, beats them up, shoots them, or more, there are other cops on the scene who witness the entire thing. Then the blue wall of silence goes up.
Every cop that keeps their mouth shut is a bad cop. Every cop that doesn’t arrest, on the scene, a cop who is beating a civilian without cause, is a bad cop. Even bad cops have good moments – they help an old lady across the street or some such deed. That doesn’t make them a good cop.
Cops do risk their lives every time they pull some one over – so don’t pull people over. People who get pulled over are more likely to get killed by the cop than is the cop likely to get killed by someone in the vehicle.
I defend the right of the cops to go home safely at the end of their shift. I also defend the right of therapists to go home at the end of their day and of mentally handicapped with toy trucks in their hands to go home at the end of their day.
https://crooksandliars.com/2016/07/another-unarmed-black-man-shot-police
Dale ok say the police never pulls anyome over for a traffic violation. What happens?
Well now lets see there will be no arrests of drug pushers being caught with drugs, No arrests of criminals that are illeagly carrying or having guns, and the main thing is everyone basically will be driving as fast as they can, passing when they don’t have room or on yellow lines, running stop signs/redlights, drunk driving, a lot more children will be killed because of careless driving and the list goes on. Your insurance rates would be so high you could not afford them which they are already about that high.
So this is not just about revenue that the state gets from tickets which mostly goes to pay the police and for public services. This is about control of the way people drive more than revenue.
Raven this goes for you too.
If you really think different then you are part of the reason we have these laws. Without any control the people would do as they want and you might be the one they are doing it against. Think about how most morals like yours have went down the tube.
I have many friends that are police and I know for a FACT they don’t stop someone unless they have good reason. As to the search warrents etc Most of officers have no choice but to follow what the dectives say. If the data is wrong then nothing you can do because in most cases you never hear about the criminal and that criminal thay are after will shoot at the first sign of police.
Have I ever been stopped? Yes
Was I in the wrong? yes
Did I get a ticket? yes
Did I desirve it? yes
Did that ticket make me slow down and drive more careful? yes
Did I have an problem with the officer? NO
Why did I not have any problems with the times I got stopped?
Well I did exactly what the Officer told me to do. I was completely honest with him.
Did I always get a ticket for what I had done? NO
Why because I admitted that I was doing wrong. So he gave a warning.
It is not the police but the way people treat them and lie to them that sets up situations that gets out of hand. It is not the Officers that cause it either. They have to decide if that person they stopped is a threat to them and if that person lies, is beligerent, not cooperative then the officer takes this as a danger sign and take the procedure setup for this. If there is a ticket for the offence then if any of this happens they will give the ticket.
Hey Dreaded lets see your response for this
Do you support No knock raids
Do you support being disarmed by your LEO for any reason
Do you support Asset forfeiture
Dreaded, so you support the police stopping and searching people without probable cause and searching for drugs or illegal guns? By the way, what is an illegal gun?
What you want is the police state that we have. You not only accept but you plead for the intrusions of government for the supposed safety that brings. Yet we have one of the most intrusive governments in the world and one of the most violent societies in the world. Why is that? It’s because the intrusions are against the law abiding, disarming them so that they cannot defend themselves.
And traffic tickets have nothing to do with controlling how people drive. If it were about safety then marked cars with roof-top bar lights would be the standard. The presence of a known law enforcement patrol is almost 100% effective in reducing speed.
When you and I were young, unmarked police cars were the tool of detectives investigating crimes. Today they’re used in traffic patrol because policing is about revenue.
There are many towns around where I live with a single main road crossing a highway, population under 1000, but they’ve incorporated 5 or 10 miles up and down the highway, just the highway itself, so they can write more tickets.
Why does it scare you for people to go around doing what they want to do, as you put it? Doing what we want, unmolested by government or police, is supposed to be the standard. When someone harms another then the courts come in to it. If someone commits a crime then put them in jail for the crime, don’t arrest all of society to make sure no one commits a crime.
I still want to live in a society where we arrest criminals for their actions and not innocents for what government thinks they might do.
Every state, county, and city have unconstitutional laws on their books. Hundreds, perhaps thousands. Every LEO enforces those unconstitutional laws, just by being employed as such. There are NO exceptions. Your mayor doesn’t come armed to your house for fixing your fence without a permit. Your governor doesn’t arrest you for holding a can of beer on the wrong day. Your senator doesn’t take your house because you didn’t pay taxes on time. Men with badges do that. And they make a decent living at it, too. We could almost respect it if they were volunteers. But they have a nice wage with benefits almost no one else will ever have.
Mind those standing armies. Or don’t. It’s far too late at this point. The Grand Experiment was sabotaged and has failed.
Thank you, Rickety Rick! A little typo occurred in my comment. The ‘United states of America Corporation’ was installed in 1871/73 and not in 1971/73!
The problems of the ‘United states of America’ began when the country tried to break away from the control of the British and French kingpins and their money lenders. President George Washington knew first hand who the real enemy was, and states so in one of his letters, kept in the archives in the Museum in Washington D.C.
Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson were inimical to the establishment of a private central bank for the control of the U.S. currency. After Franklin’s death in 1790 the Rothschild agents had Alexander Hamilton appointed as secretary of the treasury. In 1791 he created the “FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF THE UNITED STATES” the first central bank fashioned after the dreaded “Bank of England” and controlled by the Rothschild’. In 1811, when the contract of the bank with the U.S. lapsed, the American economy was so destabilized that the contract was not renewed for five years. The Rothschild’ then used their influence in the British Parliament to have England claim the colonies in America. This led to the 1812-1815 war. The war, again, forced the U.S. so much into debt that they had to ask the wicked money lenders once more for loans. In 1836, under President Andrew Jackson, the dreaded central bank was, again, disapproved but came right back in 1863. It is a fact that the Rothschild and their Co-bankers financed both sides of the U.S. civil war between 1861 and 1865. From December 1860 to May 1861 eleven states declared they wanted to leave the Union and formed the “Confederate States”. This led to the secession against the remaining Union states in the north in 1861. The reasons leading to this civil war were tariffs implemented by the rich northern states against the southern states who until then were purchasing cheaper British imports. It is a fact that Rothschild Agents due to their cunning actions and provocations helped to ignite the war. One of the trouble makers was George Bickley, who had founded the “KNIGHTS OF THE GOLDEN CIRCLE”. The house of Rothschild had Bickley and his knights extol the disadvantages of the Union for the Confederate States. In the remaining Union states the Rothschild had the banker “J.P. Morgan” and “August Belmont” praise the advantages of the Union. A profitable business for the Rothschild. When you finance both sides and supply the arms, you can but win. The real losers in this unconstitutional conflict were the American citizens and the lose of life of 600 000 men.
President Abraham Lincoln saw through the manipulation and lies of the Rothschild bankers and refused to pay the Rothschilds immense interests. He then asked congress to have the Greenback dollars printed in order to pay the Union troops, which ran contrary against the plans of the Rothschilds who ordered to having Abraham Lincoln assassinated by their agent John Wilkes Booth on April 14, 1865. John W. Booth was freed from jail by the ” Knights of the Golden Circle”, put on a British ship which was anchored in the harbor and after returning to England spent the rest of his life very comfortably thanks to a handsome payment by the Rothschild bankers. After Lincoln’s death the Greenbacks were withdrawn and bought at a ridiculous price by the central bankers J.P. Morgan, Belmont and Rothschilds.
The battle for control of this planet and humanity has been waged thousands of years by the very same tribe, Christos identified two thousand years ago. ( John 8: 44-45 )
Raven tactical Prepper expert,
Do I support no knock raids?
Hmm good question. If that raid is against known criminals yes. Is mistakes ever made yes but how often they use no knock warrents you really don’t know because all you hear is about the one or two that went wrong.
Do I support being disarmed by a Legal officer of the law for any reason? Hmm another good question. But asked in a way that has both yes and no answers so in essence is unanswerable.
If the question is asked correctly.
Do I support being disarmed by a Legal officer for a good reason? Yes If it is a traffic stop or to ensure officer/public safety during a situation that the officer needs to control.
Do I support asset forfeiture? In general No but if it invloves criminal activity Yes.
All of these questions were ask in a way to provoke an answer that could be used to make someone look like they were for the government we have in office lmao.
There is good and bad in eveything. The police, the government and people of the USA all have good and bad. The bad is what we only hear about in the news so they try to make it appear all is bad.

(So you feel comfortable knowing they screw up the address’s they end up murdering people who had nothing to do with a “crime”) But hey its ok your fuddly blue line matters flag won’t be tarnished when they kill other peoples famlies.
Do I support being disarmed by a Legal officer of the law for any reason? Hmm another good question. But asked in a way that has both yes and no answers so in essence is unanswerable.

(so rules for you but not for them) should i feel like they should be diarmed for my safety…. granted they kill more people on a traffic stop then get killed. ) Why not just follow the 2A and leave me alone and let me carry while they do the same.
Do I support asset forfeiture? In general No but if it invloves criminal activity Yes.
Define criminal activity ?….(( stealing is wrong but its only good when your blue line buddy’s do it right.))
It figures you would twist like the main media does. I am and have been an honest man as is my friends be they police or civilians. So Take your twisted stuff and put it where the light don’t show.
Twist lol. More like I rather have freedom than your police state
Raven, you’re a leftist; you’re just not as far left as Biden but you’re definitely not a constitutionalist, a libertarian, or a conservative.
You started out being against no-knock raids – now you’re acting like the woke leftist that you are proving to be: someone challenges you so you turn your words around and not you support no-knock raids “against known criminals”. Known to whom to be a criminal? Who decides? Remember that whole idea of innocent until proven guilty?
No one is ever known to be a criminal until the trial. And what is it that drives 99.9% of all no-knock warrants? DRUGS. The no-knock for drugs came about from the desire to keep some 1970s college kid from flushing his baggie of weed down the toilet before the cops could get in. They are virtually never about life-and-death. Never to save the life of a hostage (because no warrant is required for those situations).
And then the cops don’t bother to do basic police work first – going full SWAT with a no-knock warrant based on a tip by someone trying to buy their way out of jail or, even worse, a supposedly anonymous tip. Or they go to the wrong house because verifying the address or street name is simply too much to ask before kicking in someone’s door and killing a 92 year old grandmother.
You support being disarmed by a cop for the safety of the cop? You’ve got it completely backwards. Cops kill far more innocent civilians than the count of cops killed for any reason. They are far more dangerous to us than we are to them. The idea that my gun represents a threat from which the cop needs to be protected for his safety is ridiculous and the entire premise is completely unconstitutional and antithetical to the right to keep and bear arms.
Apologies, Raven. I see now that those statements in your post are you quoting Dreaded. Everything I said to you was wrong about you but applies to Dreaded.
dz, I continue to add value here; you do not. You do nothing except name call and cry like a baby. I guess when that’s all you’ve got then it’s all you can give.
How The War In Europe Will Affect The US Economy. It should have been “How the war in Europe is affecting us as preppers.”. But then again I am not so sure we wouldn’t be in the same boat anyway, with high inflation, lower income, food shortages and with what we have as government officials.
The problem everyone is overlooking is we are already in a world of hurt. Murders and crime is on the increase (at least around here it is), some foods are not available, and fuel prices are doubled. This is causing us to pay hgiher prices for prepping items or restocking as we use stored items.
So what I am doing is adding/replacing my stock but slowly as I get money. I am keeping a good eye out for possible looters already because around here there are quite a few drug addicts. I am not building anything because what ever happens I have a few days of backup as far as power is concerned and can build what I need as I need it.
The wood gasifier would take only a few days to build with what I have and at the moment I have no use for it and no place to put it but out in the rain lol. But sometime this summer I will build one and use it for a while to generate power just to show I can. I am kind of waiting hoping I can trade up on and old tractor that I can use the gasifier to run. This could be used not only to plow fields but the power take of PTO can be hook up to a generater to turn it. There is many ways an old tractor can be used. Might have to make an adapter to adapt from the PTO to the generator but it can be done.
I have seeds, food, fuel, ammo, guns, propane and materials put back. I also have access to most materials I could possibly need as far as metal and wood.
The main thing for everyone is to know what you have, how you are going to use what you have, what your abilities are and what you think will be available when things go bad.
It does not matter what others say about politics, things that apply to prepping or how to do. Take everything anyone says with a grain of salt because it may or may not be correct for you because of the way you do things, the way you think and the area your in. Some things will do great in some areas but will fail in other areas.
Do you need a boat? Not really you can fish from the bank but a boat would help get to areas not accessible on foot so it would be considered a luxury.
Do you need some kind of power system for when the power goes out for a long period? No you don’t have to have it to survie but it will make you more confortable for as long as the power system lasts. No matter what power system you get it will eventually break down. But keep in mind (I do not care what others say) a power system is a luxury and can be done without.
Do you need a latrine? Yes you will need one because it will not take long for your BM to add up to a big amount. It will smell and could cause disease. so a pit with an outhouse over 50 or 100 yards away will help.
What you need to concentrate on first and foremost is non luxury things (things you don’t have to have to survive but would make life easier).
Ops miss typed the last part should have been (things you have to have to survive not thing that would make life easier) instead of (things you don’t have to have to survive but would make life easier).
russia’s war against Ukraine will, of course, affect inflation in the United States, but still, it began when trillions of dollars were printed to fight COVID
By the way, I am now analyzing the current situation in our economy and I am surprised that inflation is still developing at such a low pace. When many small and medium-sized businesses, especially in Democratic states, were forced to close due to financial problems, some people thought about correcting their credit history, some people simply received benefits from the state, which accelerated inflation. with fit my money , I found a way to improve my credit history. I also took on additional workloads to improve my financial performance, while at the same time I know many people who chose to receive financial assistance and not work at all. As a consequence, we have a lot of printed money, which will accelerate inflation. I think we will still see a financial and credit crisis because of this, unfortunately such consequences always come.
