Nailing down the most dangerous zones within the U.S. can be kind of tricky. Typically one has a pretty standard set of criteria one can use to say: “This place is more dangerous than that place.” And, yes, we do have that criteria still today.
The catch is that the FBI doesn’t release their full statistics on the state of crime in America until ten months after the calendar year has ended. As of this writing, there are two more months to go until the completed data will be released for 2020. That means the current complete data set we have on crime is for 2019.
As you’ve probably already concluded, 2020 has likely changed the rankings. It was throughout that year of chaos when we saw massive rioting and looting on a wide scale.
Related: 6 Traps to Place on Your Property Against Looting Rioters
However, let’s see if we can still determine the most dangerous zones in the U.S. based on the older 2019 data and then see what we can glean from them.
A Note On The Data
Throughout this article, you’ll see mention of violent crimes and property crimes. Let’s further delineate what those are defined as. For starters, violent crimes consist of murder, manslaughter, rape, armed robbery, and aggravated assault.
Within our dataset below, property damage is burglary, larceny-theft, and motor vehicle theft.
1. Detroit, Michigan
This sounds about right. Coming in at a violent crime rate (VCR) of 19.5 per 1,000 residents means your chance of being a victim here are 1 in 51.
This is the second year in a row that Detroit has earned the honor of being the most dangerous city in the United States, and due to the riots of 2020, it may very well hold its spot in the limelight for another year. [
If you look at the statistics used to tabulate this list, Michigan actually has 10 cities that are within the top 100 most dangerous cities in the United States, so something very wrong is clearly going on within this state.
2. St. Louis, Missouri
Misery loves company, and it seems to love St. Louis as well. The VCR within this city is 19.2 per 1,000 residents, and your odds of being a victim of a violent crime here are 1 in 51.
We do actually have some data from 2020 on this city, though, that isn’t too flattering.
By September of 2020, St. Louis actually fell within the top 10 cities for murders throughout the United States as well, weighing in with 185.
3. Memphis, Tennessee
This will come as no surprise to anybody who’s ever been to Memphis. The city is a warzone. The VCR in this city is 19.0 per 1,000 residents, and you have a 1 in 52 chance of being a victim here. If you feel at home amid skyscrapers with razor-wire enclosures lining their parking lots, you’ll enjoy Memphis.
And while Memphis didn’t make the top 10 list for murders in 2020, you will find Tennessee within the top 10 list of dangerous states. It’s here you’ll find a rate of 3,449.1 per 100,000 being the incidence of violent crime and property crime put together.
This puts Tennessee at #6 for the most dangerous states to live in, and we do actually have some 2020 statistics at play here.

4. Baltimore, Maryland
Baltimore has a well-earned reputation of being one of the most dangerous cities on the East Coast, and it’s done it again by making it to the top 10 list of most dangerous zones in America.
The VCR per 1,000 residents here is 19.0, meaning you have a 1 in 53 chance of being a victim.
It actually made it to the top 10 list of murders for 2020 as well, with 223 people having been murdered here by September of 2020. This ranks Baltimore at #4 for the most murders in a city for 2020.
5. Monroe, Louisiana
Life down in the bayou can be a bit hectic at times, and the crime statistics on Monroe, Louisiana, seem to exhibit such. Here we have a VCR of 17.9 per 1,000 people, and your chance of being a victim are 1 in 55. Keep in mind, though, that this city likely wouldn’t be on this list if we had a full workup of the crime that occurred throughout 2020 as a result of rioting and looting.
That being said, Louisiana does seem to have a relatively high rate of crime when you see that 3,815.3 per 100,000 is the incidence of violent crime and property crime there.
6. Danville, Illinois
Here at the number six position of this list is a city you’ve likely never heard of: Danville, Illinois.
And if you visit it, you may very well never be heard from again! Here you have a VCR per 1,000 of 17.5 and a 1 in 56 chance of being a victim.
While the statistics for Illinois don’t categorize it within the top 10 most dangerous states, nearby Chicago is noteworthy as being the murder capital of the United States. It’s here that 524 people had been murdered by the first week of September 2020.
7. Wilmington, Delaware
While there are no specific rates that cause Wilmington to stand out against the crowd of other dangerous cities (it doesn’t make the top 10 list of murders or anything like that), this is still not a city to play around in at night.
Here there’s a VCR of 15.8 per 1,000 people, and your chance of being a victim is 1 in 62. So perhaps not as flashy of a number for America’s Most Wanted as some of the other cities on this list, but it still deserves a spot on the roster.
Further Data You May Want To Take Into Consideration
While the above list takes the full gamut of crime into consideration, there are a number of other lists you may want to pay particular attention to. For example, do you know the states where the greatest numbers of missing persons (many of which are kidnappings) are?
The Areas With The Highest Number Of Kidnappings
Here are the top rankers (shown as number of unresolved missing person cases):
1. California – 2,133 (Cali has held the title here since 2012)
2. Texas – 373
3. Virginia – 364
4. New York – 211
5. Ohio – 167
Cities With The Most Murders (from January 1, 2020 – September 2020)
1. Chicago – 524
2. Philadelphia – 306
3. New York City – 305
4. Baltimore – 223
5. Houston – 188

Other Notes On The Data
It’s interesting to note that since 2013, rape has risen roughly 20%. Keep in mind that this seems to in part come from the FBI redefining rape. Prior to 2013, the FBI viewed rape as something that could only happen to women. After 2013, the definition was redefined so that rape could happen to anybody.
Also remember that this data may be skewed by states and cities that don’t prosecute some crimes. For example, if you have a wide berth of cities throughout the U.S. that no longer consider “soft” drug use to be a crime, that won’t punish looters if it’s determined they “needed” what they just stole, or that order police officers to stand down as rioters burn a city to the ground, you won’t have anywhere near the number of arrests made as such situations justify.
As a result, there are likely to be some discrepancies within the ranking system above. There could very easily be cities that are less law-abiding or that have two standards of law for different segments of society, where Common Law is violated regularly but it’s simply not treated as an illegal act within the locale.
Nevertheless, the above statistics are likely the best we can do with the data we have at hand.
Final Thoughts
Typically within the U.S., the farther you can stay from the mega-cities, the safer you are. These seem to be the locations of the majority of violent crimes, property crimes, and murders.
As mentioned previously, the full crime data set from 2020 will likely confirm such a viewpoint as it was major cities where the majority of homes and businesses were burned down, people were dragged out of their cars and beat, and so on.
All in all, if we can boil it all down to one point, it would be this: It’s safer away from the city.
What are your thoughts on all this? Are there other variables you believe we should have analyzed? Do you think this is a pretty fair shot given the current data at hand? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

sorry but a short little article like this is too simplistic to get it totally correct – and some assumptions based on just the older statistics just isn’t viable ….
Danville IL isn’t anywhere near Chicago – not even directly connected by the interstates >> it’s more aligned with Indianapolis across the border >>> the violence is 100% ethnic gangs over drugs – good majority of the participants not even long term residents – victim of Biden’s open border policies ….
What this map fails to show, among other things, is that California doesn’t track crime any longer. They don’t arrest criminals; if they arrest them they don’t charge them; if they charge them eventually they dismiss charges. And they don’t keep accurate stats on the crime they do keep track of.
I moved from a rural California county that ten years ago was a place with almost zero crime. Where you could lose your wallet filled with cash, twice, and have it returned. Where you would leave your car unlocked in the parking lot of a store with your windows down… to now a place where elderly women are raped and have their skulls crushed in those same parking lots.
The masses have been dulled and dumbed down, by design, SO MUCH that we may not make it back from this hell we’re approaching. Our politicians need to reap the whirlwind of our wrath…
Read it again.
Colorado I a death trap…. It is all either major mega cities or dangerous mountains with no real significant water sources…. and Denver is a city of sin… Access to natural resources in a shtf situation should be a major consideration. And there further west you are in this country the fewer resources available… west equals death…. oh yeah where are all the military base. They are prime targets for enemies of our country… the fall out…..
Dangerous cities could turn out to be the safest place to be dependent on circumstances.
(Especially is you are familiar with said cities
For example I have more than one friend in Detroit
And Michigan is Home…
If you can’t find water and all the other resources needed too survive and you are in the mountains, you aren’t looking.
West is only death to city slickers, like you, maybe. To country folk…we will survive! A city is a guarantee you will be harmed, one way or another!
Ya, if you can out run the fires!
Rule of thumb. Stay away from Leftist controlled cities and states. The deeper the blue, the more dangerous.
What? The more police, the more dangerous?
Predominantly ‘black’ cities seem to have the worst crime statistics.
That is absolutely true. Blacks are committing 80% of the crimes. They in general are a lawless people. NO BLACK NATION HAS EVER BEEN ANYTHING OTHER THAN A 3RD WORLD COUNTRY THROUGH OUT HISTORY. Not a racist just stating a fact.
80% is a bit high for Chicago – but not by much – it’s 96% between black & brown with the remaining 4% spread across everything else from white to asian to native american .>>> and that doesn’t omit an ethnicity killing outside their own
Kathleen, and I doubt that’s your actual name. For you to suggest that, “They in general are a lawless people.” referring to blacks, is a ridiculous and bigoted comment. According to usafacts.org, FBI Statistics for violent crimes for 2020 shows that there were 388.1 / 100,000 people in the U.S. Using your assertion that blacks commit 80% of the crimes and using the 2020 us senses statistics, that blacks make up 12.4% of the U.S population, then roughly 90 percent of the US population who see themselves as black are law abiding citizens. Yet you refer to the black community as being generally lawless. I’ve been on and following this forum for several years and believe you may want to take that those fact less assertions to another site.
“… not a racist, just stating a fact!”
Facts like slavery, the slave trade, imperialism, economic exploitation, propping up dictators? You mean facts like those?
Here is a fact that government dropped many weapons and drugs to these cities leaving them with little to no opportunity but to turn to crime!!! You racist f***
Try not to be TOO racist K. Cities attract many diversities that lead to crime. Homelessness of many colors for instance, participate in lawlessness and even fatal activities. Generations of the same people who feel left out and beaten down can pass that to their kids. I think the 21st century will be the dominance in that scenario. Many things can help that problem out there. Too long for this thread to get into it. Be kind and recieve kindness. ?
YOU SHOULD HAVE KEPT THAT COMMENT TO YOURSELF
Within big cities, that actually becomes crime ridden areas or neighborhoods, which one who is a local knows to avoid. They only problem is, just as you avoid those areas, people from those areas come into your neighborhood. New bike lanes, mopeds, scooters enable them to do it more easily and make a quick get a way with the goods. They are a double menace as they do not obey any traffic laws.
So bike lanes are the problem? You do know they can also own cars right?
I think you are looking more for how you can blame those you don’t like, rather than what the real problem is.
While I do agree that much crime involving robbery and gun violence reported in the news seems to be mostly African American right now, don’t forget that all school shooters are mostly white, well to do males acting out. not blacks, not “immigrants” just plain old American white youth.
I grew up in a rural ranching community, 98% white working class. (I loved it) people knew and looked out for each other, but we also had crime, petty theft, burglary, physical violence, gun violence – all perpetrated by white folks. (and we didn’t have any bike lanes)
a popular thing to do at the time was for someone to steal a car, joy ride around the hills then send it over a cliff or set it on fire when you were done with it (I never did this).
People would try and blame the hispanic farm hands, but every time the perpetrators were caught- they were white, and lived in our community. My own brothers were petty thief’s, one was an arsonist, peeping tom, and moved to rural Idaho and became a federal convicted conman all the while hiding behind the banner of religion.
I lived in Philly a few years back (for a couple of years) gun violence and robbery was on the increase. the problem was the huge number of cheap straw buy guns available on the streets. people would go to states like Georgia, buy 10, 20, 30 hand guns at a time and sell them on the streets for profit. Of the four times I heard of these “buyers” getting caught, each time they were white “Americans”.
While I was a long standing member of the NRA, and a strong supporter of the constitution (all of it), I have got to think that background checks, waiting periods, and limits on the number of firearms that can be purchased at any one time, (but not registration) would help curtail much of this problem, (far better than the elimination of “bike lanes”). Yet the NRA and many here would oppose those actions.
The reality of it is that it is far easier to blame others, than really look at the cause of crime, and who those perpetrators are, taking personal responsibility, holding those accountable for their actions, no false blame, excuses, no subterfuge.
that’s why Jan. 6th angers me so much. it was an attack upon our nation and democracy carried out by mostly white Americans, many religious, many well to do. It was not antifa, democrats, the FBI or immigrants. There is absolutely no prof or evidence that it was any of those factions. Those are all false blame and diversion of responsibility. Religious people, ignoring the ten commandments “thou shall not bear false witness”, wrapping themselves in the flag, and then beating police with the pole.
It is very easy to blame others, but when you are thinking of whom to blame, you need to ask yourself if it seems to be more acceptable if the people committing the crimes are like you, or less so if they are people you don’t like, and does that affect the need for punishment?
When it comes to the Jan 6th insurrection I don’t care which side it was, it was an attack on the country, treasonous, and more people need to be held accountable and prosecuted. trump to start with.
sorry John
the background checks and the nra are all infringments of the 2A.. Evil exists and while its a issue. The facts are that blacks make up 12 percent of the population yet commit 60 percent of the violant crime…
i’ll even say it again the NRA supports gun control thus i don’t support them… Wayne needs to leave
John Roskelley. Sounds like you have some years on you with your extensive comment. Democracy was THE reason for Jan 6 good man. It looks like you branch out for information in places that clearly aren’t normally in your wine glass. This is a prepper site. Why are you here? Finally getting scared of the Rulers??? Looks like you use the bought and paid for leftist news media. Big problems came from the fraudulent 2020 election. Now you know it was a mess and truths have come out. Right John? But of course like usual nothing changed for the sitting President. Do you support mailing ballots to every address in the nation? Do you support blocking opposite party oversite at ballot voting counting? Do you think it’s a good Idea for a ballot harvester to go around picking up voter ballots? Do you believe it is a good solid policy to show your identification document of some kind to vote? WE THE PEOPLE own the Capitol, not the inhabitants John. Through history tyranny brings people to the point of disobedience! Trump was right and he has been right all along. Read the Bible again and see that he was. Right down to Jerusalem. You got a reply from me even though you removed the ability.
New Hampshire is not even close to be considered for that list. the area I live in had as far as I know two muggings in the last three decades.
Straight line parsing of statitical data is often nothing more than misinformation. Yes there is too much violent crime in Chicago. But the vast majority of the crime is in the innercity, poor, ethnic neighborhoods. Violent crime is real in those innercity minority neighbohhoods. Black or hispanic Chicogoans not living in the inner city or residing in black suburban neighborhoods are much safer!
White Chicagoans don’t fit that innercity deographic exposed to that voilent crime. Whites are much safer in Chicago.
It’s always in the data!
John I wish New Hampshire was quite so peaceful. Manchester this WEEK had more than two muggings, 3 people shot and two missing persons.
We are quieter than most but our democrat run cities are also getting frisky.
Michael, my thoughts on that is with all the industries closing down (paper mills, steel mills) it left a lot of people unemployed and without hope of employment.
NH has the lowest black population in the country, hmmm makes you wonder.
Pete at the risk of some braindead (but I repeat myself) LIBERAL screaming Racist in NH we still have Photos of our offenders in the Newspapers.
Unlike so many Liberal Controlled Newpapers-news feeds.
Did you happen to notice the “Person of Interest” who ran over so many grannies and children in the Christmas Parade was HIDDEN by the Press as to name-religion and race. Even NOW they try to make it “THE SUV Ran over them” Not the perp. African American Religion of Peace you know.
Almost all the gang activity has a lot of “Diversity” in it along with heavily neck tattooed white folks also. Criminals come in all colors but there is a solid trend in the 10% Black Population Manchester to have most of the violent crime in all of NH and the Newspaper photos show it.
NH Has the lowest welfare payments in America. Oddly we also have the lowest Unemployment numbers in America. The severe weather we have is pretty harsh on street people, sad to say.
Yet we also have “Charity Groups” IMPORTING Diversity into NH including using Federal Dollars to subsidize them and give the free money to set up “Businesses”.
I HEAR a LOT Of RED States have this “Little Problem”.
Almost like live and let live is NOT PERMITTED by the all-knowing Feds, eh?
The area you live in though it has a lower crime rate is within a larger area that has a high crime rate and this does not mean your area is safe. For if crime rate is high within 50 miles of you then your not safe because most criminals have no certain area. During a SHTF Those criminals will move out to more lucrative areas such as your area. This article is not fully about crime rates and your safety right at this instant. I think it is more about if a SHTF comes and how safe you will be during a SHTF.
These charity groups are a real threat to our neighborhoods as they enable unvented refugees and illegal immigrants into our communities and they maintain no audit trail or records that can account for their actions or enable local governments to find these folks if need be. The biggest offenders are church sponsored – Catholic Church and the ELC Lutheran Church could tell use all about what ever happened to Minneapolis! Unfortunately, this also is a big money making scheme for them too.
too bad the sickly & infirmed can’t have Christmas spirit – but when the social diseases work their way to the brain it can turn vindictive >>> pity anyone at the homeless shelters that has to contend with such a God forsaken excuse of a person ….
I think most everyone with a brain knows these facts you highlight…but, it never hurts to inform just awakened dummies…
You make a map with red dots all over it, but it doesn’t even tell what the names of the cities are????
Its a map……
Flunked geography, huh?
The crime in our own cities affects us all. International crime also affects us. Yesterday, Chile had their elections. I don’t know if they also used the infamous Dominon voting machines but they ended up with a full-on communist for a president. His promises include appropriating second homes and many businesses. Much of the out-of-season fruits and vegetables that we (the U.S.) get in our markets comes from Chile. Most of the companies in Chile that export their fruits and vegetables are owned by people other than Chileans. The president plans to appropriate those foreign owned businesses. The end result is that the produce department at the grocery store might begin to look different after yesterday’s election.
Got to get out and build that green house.
A very good point Sagebrush Lin. The US cheap groceries from Chile are going to get crazy.
And my coffee cup has a quote “Well that didn’t work, the short history of communism”.
Yet people without memory keep eagerly grasping after the “Idea” of Communism even after getting burnt just a few years ago.
Got a Walipini dug yet?
Walipini, also known as sunken greenhouse, underground greenhouse, pit greenhouse, or earth-sheltered greenhouse, is a structure with the growing area dug into the ground. Having the growing area under the ground level gives you the thermal benefits of being cool in warm weather and warm in cold weather similar to a root cellar.
The word itself originating from the Aymara Indian (located in what now becomes Bolivia) which means ‘place of warmth’.
Unlike a root cellar, though, you’ll be putting a greenhouse top on your dug-out space. That will allow the sun to come into the area and make it even warmer. Plus, that sunlight will be used to grow your plants.
To build a walipini, dig a 6-8 foot deep area in the ground. Then install a greenhouse type roof angled toward the sun. If you have earth-moving machinery or live in an area where this kind of work is inexpensive and can be performed without a permit, you can save a lot of money building a walipini instead of a full-blown greenhouse.
Key note about the greenhouse is angled for max WINTER Sunshine angle so the much warmer summer sun mostly reflects off it. And even then, ventilation is needed to prevent overheating and moisture control.
Snipped from Morning Chores website. A good site for people that want to grow things.
Michael, Thank you for giving a name to what I think is the best idea yet for a green house. I have seen photos of something similar on line but to have a name for it will help so that I can search for the best construction techniques. I live in an area of extremes in weather so something that levels out the weather is very useful.
I’ve read about these or something similar, before. Thanks for jogging the memory.
Michael,
I like the quote on your coffee cup – very accurate. If it wasn’t for soviet communism, I would have been born on a lovely island in the Baltic Sea and eating black bread and herring. Those who were not able to escape the communist takeover, became very creative with meal preparation. They began making meals out of what was previously thought of as just “weeds”.
I’ll just have to say never heard of this type green house but sounds like a winner.
Just a side note, most country dictators end up forcibly removed if it gets too bad. It’s usually bloody as well. As much as I love fruit and veggies, fruit consumed by countries that are in an off season for growing see more diabetes due to the sugar content. We were designed to gain weight over the summer with fruits, so we could live through winter with the extra fat. Now we are fat all year long.
looks like my comment was taken down….
in other news water is wet and dog’s and cats don’t get along..
I don’t know, when I look at the news I never have seen a group of mexicans or whites stealing in a snatch, bang and run on a jewelry store or other type store. It’s always blacks involved. That’s a fact. Now if that is a racial statement then that has become the very definition of a racist. One who states true facts.
There is a great difference in what the Blacks think racism is and what it actually is. I am white with a few friends from all the races(it takes more then just knowing someone to be called a friend, it takes them having my back as much as me having theirs). I do not consider myself a racist because it is not the race but the individuals or groups of a race that I don’t like and that is causing most of the problems.
You are mostly correct in that it was blacks in those press releases that were looting but to condemn a whole race for what some group of that race does is doing the same thing those groups are doing condemning the white race for what one racist group of whites does.
Same experience for me.
Is not most of the shooting in Large Cities – Gang on Gang, Bad Guy vs Bad Guy Shooting. ?
Yes. And here Trump was putting an end to it! Now I’m afraid they are coming back! The Latin American gangs seem to prefer the suburbs too. They like the parks and wide green open spaces to do there nasty work, Beware. Biden actually wants to build back better low income housing in the suburbs bringing in more opportunities for these folks to ruin the American Dream.
City Chick,
All the farmer’s fields around me are being removed, good soil scraped off and quickly built houses built eave to eave on that land. The field a block away from me has laid fallow for a few years but a few months ago, townhomes began to be built on there. Everyone has to start somewhere so I expect that most of the renters will be okay but it does bring in that transient household element. There is all sorts of charity money out there for renters so those who make bad choices will be enabled. The mormon church and the mennonite church are both great influencers here. They both consistently gain financially by being involved with the unvetted and so-called refugees. They both have stepped away from their teachings even just a few years ago and becoming more “woke”.
Our local police did a really good job about 5 years ago cleaning up the gang element but it has been pointed out that those jail sentences for the gang members are running out. With the influx of uncounted new people in the area, the police will have a difficult time of it this time.
And…the list goes on.
City Chick,
Our country has had the criminal element traveling thousands of miles to come here and take advantage of our blessings. We have had many gangs from Chile here doing various scams and now that Chile has elected a full-on communist as president, there will be more poverty there. Boric, as in boric acid, will create more reasons for Chileans to travel up north.
I really miss President Trump and his ability to keep focused on so many issues at once plus remembering what factors will keep us safer.
Sad to say this article is a compilation of both ongoing crime and rare occurrences or one off incidents and treating them as if they were all the same threat level.
What is your or the nation’s real risks and threats to it/you?
armed robbery, murder typical of big cities, most seem to be in the center or east coast of the US not really a threat to the country as a whole or national security, but individuals, sure. kidnap statistically tends to be a separated parent kidnaping their own child (here in the US) threats to companies and businesses tend to be insurrection, riots, smash and grabs, all caused by different social injustices, or just using those injustices as an excuse to cause mayhem. for instance, not all BLM protests lead to vandalism and looting, but some take advantage of the opportunity to cause such violence – which is never acceptable under ANY circumstance. but if you participated or applaud the shameful insurrection aimed at democracy in our capital, which was both an armed insurrection, vandalism, and looting of the nations capital, and the physical attack on law enforcement then you have no room to point a finger. what happened on Jan.6th was the greatest single threat to democracy and our country in decades. don’t forget that many of these participants come from rural communities, not big cities.
we may not like the way an election goes, but we as a nation and as individuals must respect democracy and accept the out come and wait until next time. like it or not, when Al Gore accepted his loss for (with a far slimmer margin, and winning the popular vote) the betterment of the country and spoke of healing he was far more of an American statesman who held and emboldened American values than trump could have ever been while calling fraud, calling for an insurrection and the storming of the capital.
Another point, statistically, immigrants, legal or not commit far fewer crimes than our own citizenry.
Final note, I was a life long republican, I did not leave the party, the party left me. the level of bigotry, hypocrisy and lack of honest and civility coming from some on the right makes it hard for a thinking person to justify voting for many of them.
Listen to what a person says, then think if putting a D or R after their name changes your opinion of them or their policies, if it does, then you are not thinking right.
Frankly, if someone storms the capital, and causes the shameful mayhem that we witnessed on January 6th they deserve to be shot, be they trump supporters or BLM protesters.
Thank you, wise internet friend for your sane comment.
A paid shill could not have propounded a more pernicious tissue of propaganda and lies than are included in your transparent globalist screeds, aimed against American citizens in order to gain 30 pieces of silver.
Either your basic common sense has been overridden by main stream media hacks, or your lobotomy was not as successful as everyone had hoped.
Every American patriot knows that provocateurs in the employ of the deep state produced all the damage and physical harm that day to subvert the constitutional hearing of objections to the electors, and they were successful.
The breaching of the gates occured 20 minutes before President Trump finished speaking a mile away. Any Trump supporters were far away when the rioters were bussed in on camera.
You were never a Republican. If you claim you were it would be in name only.
If you cared about the truth of things, you would demand answers from your leadership, such as why will pelosi not release the thousands of hours of footage from the Capitol that day, And why has the gestapo arrested 6-9 hundred Americans who did nothing but excercise their Constitutionally guaranteed right of freedom of speech and redress of grievances concerning the November 3 coup, held for over a year without charges and without bail, and why did pelosi and the mayor of DC refuse to permit the President’s request for additional national guard to be present, and I could go on wasting my time suggesting enlightening courses of action for you but I am smart enough to know that a brainwashed hack will avoid enlightenment of any kind that contradicts their prescribed narrative. The only thing I can do is warn others of your communist gaslighting efforts and move on to others of your pathetic ilk.
wow Calvin did you just discover your thesaurus, or what? Gestopo? communists? you hit them all don’t you? your rant is to political motivated to take seriously, let alone as a credible argument. people who are quick to play the RINO card are often the one who are dooming the GOP by not realizing that we as a country need to come together and compromise for the betterment of all Americans- and yes the democrats are headed that way to. do you remember when (are you old enough) our elected officials worried more about what was good for the whole country and not just a few in a political party?
And yes I demand answers, accountability, honesty, and integrity from our elected officials regardless of their party- that’s why I don’t like trump. even if he was still a democrat as he used to be.
While I could contradict much of your false claims, you wouldn’t listen, but just know that much of what you say is presented by people who have no interest in telling the truth, and have been debunked by people who know what the true facts are.
I hope some day you have a wake-up moment and realize how gullible you have been.
Calvin,
I appreciate your ability to have more of a vocabulary than this texting abbreviation focused generation. Your post is factual but also more interesting to read because of your skill with language.
So Calvin, you take down your response to my pointing out that trump has lied over 7,000 times since taking office? why because you realized you made my point?
He only needed to tell 5 lies a day! (your math 4.75) no problem for the trumpster he probably knocked that out before his Burger King breakfast! he didn’t even need to think up the lies as you claim (unless he was going to hold one of his ego-stroke rallies, or a press conference) he only needed to say what ever he wanted to no mater whether it was true or not when someone asked him a question- an easy lie even for trump.
Oh and you brought up golfing, even though he spent a record 307 days playing golf at a cost of over 23k to the American taxpayers, he still managed his 7,000 + lies with out even breaking stride.
but lets look at some of those lies- Corona virus is a hoax, corona virus will go away in a few weeks, Corona virus is no worse than the common flu, ….. how many Americans and trump supporters did that kill?
Thanks again for proving my point (both of them)
have a good Christmas, and as you look around the table, realize that some household will have an empty seat at that table, mostly due to trump playing politics with a global pandemic.
No one had guns at Jan 6 except the police and trump didn’t tell them to go to the capitol you have valid points but some of your “facts” are simply not valid and tepid at best blue cities are falling apart and what you espouse will destroy us all good luck please keep your sophomoric wet dreams to yourself about the most dangerous event in our countries history very sad for you
Well Robert, I totally agree that the coddling of the criminal element is destroying our society it was part of an experiment (failed) by the left to try and reform criminals rather than incarcerate and punish criminal behavior. not holding them accountable just emboldened them. I can’t blame them for trying something different, but I can blame them for not changing tack when it was obviously failing. we may now be seeing a change in that flawed thinking by the actions of the very liberal Mayor of SF London Breed who just this week called for prosecution of larceny and petty theft crimes, a crackdown on open drug dealing and drug use in the city, including declaring the tenderloin an emergency crime zone that merits increased police enforcement and zero tolerance. even the weak SF DA is on the brink of recall or firing for failing to prosecute some of these criminals (rightly so) but despite the rhetoric that democrats are calling for “defund the police” Breed is also calling for a massive cash infusion to the police department and a restaffing the police back to 2017-18 levels.
There were people who were arrested on 1/6 who had guns, but of course not everyone was searched. also, don’t kid yourself a flagpole, a can of bear spray, and many other things can be deadly weapons, if that is the intent. as we all saw the police were repeatedly beaten and assaulted by the crowd with those very things- that was not Hollywood, make-believe, or isolated incidents- it was reality. and shameful.
Trump did in fact at the rally preceding the events on capital hill tell his followers to (follow him) to the capital and fight like hell.
Apparently you have all your “wet dreams” when you should have been paying more attention.
I agree with some of what you said but the capitol riot was not a full riot nor was it an insurrection(there was no burning cars or a lot of violence that the press wants you to believe). The majority of the people there was just demonstrating their disgust over certain things and was there to show support for Trump. But there was a group within those demonstrators that was out to start trouble, but low and behold what the media and democrats did with it. The division is this country has never been as high as it is now and think about what is really causing this. The government is causing all this division. Don’t lay the blame on the people when the people were doing what is with in their rights(demonstrating).
Also you best include the west coast in all this crime junk because there is a heck of a lot going on there.
You said “Listen to what a person says, then think if putting a D or R after their name changes your opinion of them or their policies, if it does, then you are not thinking right.” Well I am thinking right. I was a democrat for years and I did not leave the democratic party they left me. Now I vote for the what that the candidate stands for not for a party. The democratic party wants socialism I DON”T. If you don’t believe me read their agenda. I try not to vote democrat for one basic reason if they are a democratic candidate then they will support what ever the democratic party supports and you can lay bets on that(because if they don’t the money for their campaigns dry up). Same for the republicans but the republicans do have one thing going for them be it Trump which is not a politician or some other candidate and that is they have helping the USA, commerce and people in their agendas not socialism which will be our downfall if it ever gets to that point.
The government sewed the seeds of this division during over the last 20 – 25 years, the Obama administration increased this by it’s policies and that is the truth.
John Roskelly,
I believe that you are the one not thinking correctly.
The January 6th event had only 1 casualty, an unarmed woman shot by police. Unless you are speaking if the Officer who died of a coronary.
This CANNOT be said of the BLM or Antifa Riots that were let happen.
While the participants arrested on that day are still in custody or have been sentenced, NOT one of the the So Called peaceful Protesters in Seattle, WA or Portland, Or were in custody long enough for the police to file the paperwork. Catch and release. If charged at ALL, it was misdemeanors. Tell your story to the folks on Capitol Hill in Seattle, who we’re extorted, harassed daily and just plain afraid while the Summer of Love was going on.
You definitely drank the Kool-aid.
I live not too far from Seattle and have relatives in the Portland area.
Not a fun time, and these A$$holes are still free to do as they please and the people who were in the area of DC are still being persecuted!!
Get All the facts before ya start spouting BS!
MadFab
well Madfab, I in no way am condoning excusing any of the rioting or property destruction in Portland, or caused by opportunist during BLM protests. But you are wrong, far more police officers and law enforcement personnel were hurt in the insurrection at the capital, than at any individual BLM protest, including the one in Washington DC., Portland, or Seattle.
Lets not forget the damage that was caused to the credibility of the US, democracy, and rule of law that the world witnessed that day
Do you think it was good for our enemies to see how easily the capital could be breached and civil unrest could be fomented? the damage that insurrection caused to the credibility of this great nation cannot be down played.
I do not disagree with you that criminals (rioters, looters, etc.) should rot in jail. but traitors and insereconist should rot in the ground.
We defiantly need to change some laws and punishments in this country.
Don’t forget your “Koolaid” reference comes from a false profit preaching to religious fanatics who were willing to do and believe anything told to them without question by a leader who was a well known lier and charlatan (kind of like trump) no, the supporters on Jan 6th were obviously the ones drinking the “Koolaid”.
LOL
Oh wow!! I cannot even address all of your False words. But I will say that the way you describe Jim Jones and his followers is EXACTLY what we have with the occupant of 1600 Penbsylvania Ave.
I am all for traitors to be strung up. Let’s start, again , with the occupant of 1600 Penn Ave and work our way down that traitorous food chain.
And just for the record, 3 people DIED in the occuoation!!! Of CHOP, because the peaceful protestors wouldn’t ALLOW the police to come in and help. Police have to make sure the scene is safe before paramedics can help. 1 of the dead was a teenage boy!!
This was all on 1 night, during the 3 months of terror and neighborhoods held against their will. Not one of those ***** was even charged. You are delusional to think these terrorists are just peaceful.
MadFab
MaFab this “Gentleman” has spouted similar opinions (I’m feeling the Christmas Spirit so..) before.
Nothing you will say, no facts nothing will prevent him from living His Dream of educating the deplorables on the Internet.
He is a Kool-aid dispenser.
Jan 6th folks have been in solitary confinement for almost a year. Soviet style punishment and denial of basic rights. The Gulag itself.
Be at peace don’t let his “Gentleman” disturb your holiday cheer. I wonder if he’s going to OBEY Dr. Faci’s orders not to celebrate Christmas also.
Agreed. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Be safe, be with friends, family or those you want to be with. Just remember the reason we celebrate Christmas…and ‘not’ the commercial reason.
I can’t imagine you are talking about me, since I often don’t comment on the tripe I hear here, but all the same I’ll bite, many of those who have been arrested for their criminal and seditionist actions on Jan 6 were allowed to bail out, so if they are still in jail it is because of additional criminal issues. not anything else as you are falsely eluding to. I also didn’t call you “deplorables” sad to say I consider you my fellow Americans who are entitled to their own views (regardless of how wrong they may be ;^) )
And no, I am going to enjoy Christmas (not happy holidays) with my family and friends, (as I hope you do) difference is that when I go into a store to purchase that forgotten figgy pudding, I will put on a mask because I believe in science and not some orange colored hack playing the political game, and I have great respect for those behind the counter working hard to make Christmas work without them spending their Christmas in the hospital.
And with that I wish you a Very Merry Christmas, my fellow American.
Thanks Michael,
He definitely hit some hot buttons for me.
Thanks for talking me off my Ledge.
You are correct. Nothing I or most people say will penetrate, so i am DONE.
Hoping you and yours are enjoying the season.
Peace,
MadFab
There was ‘no’ insurrection. The Capitol Building was not ‘stormed’ as Capitol Police opened some doors and held them open.
As Ronald Reagan said…He didn’t leave the democratic party…they left him.
We each can have our own opinion and voice it…which is the great thing about ‘freedom of speech’. We, also have other rights, but I think you skipped over or ignored those.
Well Dave what would you call all the smashed windows, trashed offices, injured law personal then? calls to hang Mike pence, and a gallows? really? no Insurrection? I am all for the right of civil protest and freedom of speech, but violence, looting and wanton destruction is NEVER acceptable by anybody, for any reason, and is deserving of legal punishment.
By the way, I support all of the constitution, and bill of rights.
Wrapping yourself in the flag, and beating an officer with the pole, doesn’t make you more “American” than anyone else, it just makes you a criminal.
What would you call the smashed windows at other federal buildings…like in Seattle? A federal building is a federal building, regardless. How come no prosecution for those that did that? Jan 6th was no insurrection, except in the small minds of delusional individuals, who are suffering TDS and a few other maladies. Nice try, though.
John,
If your major news source is just the evening new on TV, of course you would believe as you have written.
Al Gore did not accept the election results. If you remember, he tried all types of maneuvers to get it changed, including egging his followers toward changing the electoral college system.
If elections were honest, Washington state might have had Dino Rossi as a governor instead of the series of disasters that it has had. Back when the state had paper ballots, the format was changed. The TV news made a mistake and showed the election office going over people’s ballots with black sharpies to “fix” them. When it looked like a Republican might get in, suddenly, a stack of ballots was “found” behind a copier. When that wasn’t enough, another stack was “found” in a warehouse, then the trunk of a car, etc. What was tested out in Washington state, has been done over and over throughout our country whenever it looks like the will of the people of the land might vote in a conservative.
Jan. 6th had several paid instigators telling people to go in. I even saw the video where the D.C. police moved barriers to the side and invited people in. I saw on video the the typical antifa type clothing but with an ill fitting red hat on or something and body build doing the violence and breaking things. D.C. enforcers killed two unarmed women that day, one by shooting her and another with blunt force trauma.
I suppose you mean well but you really need to expand your scope of information. When I was in college, one of my instructors told us that we to only read books from certain publishers. Hopefully, you didn’t have the same instructor.
There are certainly other measures of danger than the local crime rate. I would not rely upon that as the sole metric.
Dave, I’m not disagreeing with you about the need for prosecution and punishment for the crimes committed in Seattle, Portland, Washington, etc. nor am I excusing them. Truly disgraceful. but If you can’t actually bring yourself to recognize the insurrection to thwart a election called for by a sitting president because he lost that election then you are the “delusional” one. even Fox News and some of trumps closest aids, and all branches of the US military recognized it as the attempted coup that it was.
Why did some in the crowd call to “hang Mike Pence”? -It was because he was not willing to do trumps bidding and decertify a legal held election! What do you think would have happened to Pence, Pelosi, or AOC if that mob had gotten their hands on them, especially when you consider that many of them willfully beat and bear sprayed the security forces to get to them?
“delusional” indeed.
Not for sure about number 6, Danville was it, but all the other cities mentioned are FULL of B.H.I.’s – Black Hebrew Israelites.
If you know their racist doctrine, its really no surprise at all.
And for the record, yes there are also White Hebrew Israelites groups, that are just as racist in their beliefs, but they seem to be located in European countries.
And surprisingly not, they all appear to be Democrap areas.
Who knew
Well sagebrush, I get my news from many sources, including international agencies that couldn’t care less about our politics.
I even sometime watch fox or msnbc, but give them little credibility because one, they are political motivated, and two they aren’t news agencies, they are “entertainment venues” with no real interest in fair representation of facts (both sides)
Al Gore did challenge the results at first, and although he could have gone on, conceded fairly quickly. here we are a year later and the crybaby in chief trump can’t bring himself to admit what even his own auditors have proven and admitted to- Biden won.
There have often been many claims of voter fraud, but none have been credible proven beyond a doubt, for any candidate.
But no there were no Antifa agitators there. that is just a BS excuse for the mayhem that trump supporters caused not one person caught up in the DOJ investigations was affiliated with Antifa, or BLM, they were all trump supporters, proud boys, white supremests etc and their face book and other social media posts prove this. Nice try at re-wrighting history.
“Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play.”—Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Minister of Propaganda
We see this every day in the MSM. According to the Left, it seems…we ‘will’ believe them because they are telling us what we are to believe.
By-the-way…You’ve got a bad case of TDS. You need some help, but I think it’s already too late.
wow that is rich Dave, quoting Gobebbles to try and prove your point? really?you do realize that he was trying to vilify the media so the public would not believe the atrocities hitler and his minions were caring out, Right? which is exactly my point as to why trump called everything he didn’t like “fake news” and said the media was “the enemy of the people” and don’t forget he also turned on his beloved Fox News when they acknowledged that Biden had indeed won
I actually do a pretty good job of looking at all viewpoints Which is why I bother to engage hay-seeds such as yourself who have a myopic view of politics. Might I ask which of the Gobebbles approved news venues you are indoctrinated by?
Well, John. I’ll give one thing…you are certainly ‘entertaining’ and give me a chuckle. Just have a Merry Christmas.
Dear Johnny – Not that I will carry on an ongoing interaction with you. This is a one-time observation of dolor. I guess I really don’t allow myself to have minimal contact with someone of your perspicacity level. I think the key is your bombastic, boast of listening to several news agencies, and a variety therein. Personally, I haven’t listened to the news in circa 30 years. Literally. You allow your false pundits to enable your decisions, and I simply do it myself. I live in Mpls. where over 1000 buildings were burned and destroyed. Countless vicious assaults were committed without reporting by the ‘news’. All after St. George had a heart attack. Re the election, this city is populated, in the main, by effete, weak-kneed cosmopolitans (sound familiar?). For months prior to the election I received 3-5 mail in ballots for me, and the same number for my buddy who gets his mail at my address. I even sent one in, and then went and voted in person. It was obvious the fix was in, and there was no need to do it here. At the precinct there was not one White man overseeing the process. Well, that’s more than I wanted to interact. I won’t even think of addressing your unglaublich, fatuous observations regarding Herr Goebbels. Maybe less following news reporters, and more being a man.
Madfab and dave, you got it right!
John R…..I don,t believe you ever were a republican. You and a whole lot of other un-informed and I’ll-informed lefties need to quit watching CNN and the other commie news networks!
The Republican Party has never leaned to the far right, but the democrats have strayed and succumbed to Marxist ideology to the point where its a danger to America and freedom. It’s no longer the party of “the common folk”
well spuds, yes I was . proud to say I voted for Reagan you need to load off the polarized entertainment venue known as fox and diversify your reading… like beyond the first grade.
not big at critical thinking are you?
Remember it was hitler who vilified the media as the enemies of the people…just like trump did, and look how well that worked out for the world.
you need to get out in the real world more.
Yes…Hitler did that…’before’ he took over the country and then…the ‘press’, that he had vilified, did exactly what he told them to. They spouted nothing that was not approved by the Nazi Party. We have been seeing the same for the past several years.
Reagan was a sad foolish idiot that should of stepped down with his mental health issues.
The man was anti gun just like Regan Bush and bush jr
So again Dave, thanks I actually enjoy engaging you in conversation, Remember, trump called anything he didn’t like “fake news” then proceeded once he got into office to bar and ban news agencies that wouldn’t parrot his propaganda from the briefing room and press updates. Nor would he take any questions from them, so kinda like your hitler reference.
here’s the thing- regardless of whether he was a democrat or republican, I would have called him out for such bull droppings. I am not beholden to religion or party politics, just what is honorable and best for our great nation- and that doesn’t involve coups or insurrections
You are right Dave, dialogue can be both entertaining and enlightening. you have a merry Christmas as well my fellow American
Free speech is a beautiful thing, right? Merry Christmas…and remember…I could agree with you, but then, we’d both be wrong.
Beautiful, Dave thanks! that’s the sprit! merry Christmas, and happy new year!
Capt.
Good call. I quit when I realized that he was very comfortable with being dishonest, if not down right lying.
your willingness to be ignorant of the truth and facts is astounding
shooting your gun without proper hearing protection clearly has had an impact.
the irony of you believing trump a man who has lied to the American people over 7,000 times (verifiable) while in office and is if nothing but dishonest is amazing. if trump is such an hones guy, why won’t he release his tax returns like every other president? or be transparent about Jan 6th, take responsibility about anything? what does Putin have on him? you have no room to talk, primarily because you cover for the despot. He may be fooling you, but not the smarter Americans- you know, the majority.
Our tormentor has invoked the “7,000 verifiable lies” meme, so before he goes off duty from his shift subverting truth in the public opinion at the FIB office, or whatever subversive alphabet agency he works for, I would like to look into this meme.
Let’s see, Trump was president for 4 years, times 365 days, which comes to 1461 days. Which means every day he spent every waking hour thinking up 4.79 new and distinct lies, no days off, no golfing vacations, or overseas trips to perform diplomatic duties, because he had to come up with verifiable lies. At least “John” doctored up his figures to more managable numbers then the last automaton who quoted the figure of 30,000 “verifiable lies” the president came up with. 20 lies, every single day. Wow, what a prodigy! You’d think he was a media person, or a lawyer, or an alphabet soup.agency parasite.
Yet when I asked the person claiming the lawyerly lie output of 20 lies every day to share some of these “verified”lies our great President devised, the person could not think of any to warn us about.
Oh, there must be a list somewhere of these untruths, but somehow none of the trolls have it, so I suppose our edification will never be complete, without the trolls’ documentation.
The only thing the citation of these figures proves conclusively, is the limited information sources available to those quoting this, and their clinical condition of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Statistically, crime tends to cluster in a relatively small geographic area of a city. Every city has neighborhoods where you shouldn’t go after dark, and many more where you don’t want to go during daylight hours either because you will be targeted for violence because you are not the right color or ethnicity or because you are a stranger. And there are many rural locations where the same rules apply, too. Crime can occur anywhere and you can become a victim anywhere if you are careless.
Situational awareness, practical precautions and educating yourself about the predominant types of crime in an area as well as the locations of most of an areas crime are your best protection. Most urban crime tends to cluster in certain neighborhoods. Read the local newspapers and check the police departments’ statistics with a map by your side, and I guarantee that you will see a pattern emerge. Also check with any local contacts you have as to what areas should be avoided.
The most expensive way to cope with trouble is to try to avoid it.
Sigh! It should read “the most effective way to cope…” Damn autocorrect!
I do wish, Claude, that we could edit our comments after posting.
To all the lucky Missourians here, we have visited your state several times and truly love everything about it —except for— those scary as Hell tornadoes! On our recent trip this past Fall, we had every intent to buy property for a small homestead, and to finally break away from the grid. Then a huge tornado passed within close range, and we really struggled with whether or not we could cope with that kind of threat on a daily basis. How do you doit?? We want so much to move there, but know we could lose everything in a moment in Mother Nature’s rage! Are we being foolish scaredy-cats?
DH, , go forth without fear, Earth will provide. Do not let fear defeat you…Just be aware and prepare….an old Angel speaks to you…
Okay. I read every reply. Or, should I say, I TRIED to read every reply. This comment is way off of the content of the article, and for that I apologize.
I am soooooo sick and tired of getting headaches reading almost anything on the internet these days. What has happened to our society that would not only allow, but encourage written communication that has NO grammatical affects? No punctuation. No use of periods, commas or CAPITOL LETTERS to indicate the beginning of a sentence.
I’m to the point of giving up on my fellow man, and possibly reverting to reading information in print on real paper! Usually, that form tends to actually be readable!
For you internet illiterates, I will use one of your own well used metaphoric abbreviations……….SMH
Central Coaster:
I share in your frustration, but have come to the realization that great wisdom can be found in some of the most ungrammatical posts, whilst some of the best edited posts contain nothing of value. Don’t worry about it, just mentally use your red pencil to correct it and look at what is actually being said rather than the medium.
Stay calm and prep on.
Live not in fear, DH, BUT, go forth in to your best… The earth awaits you, as always….be strong, be aware and prepare….show no fear.
So basically, don’t go into shit-holes without being strapped. Got it! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to ALL!!
Knightbrigade:
Or, better yet, don’t go into sewers at all!
Merry Christmas to one and all, and may next year be better than this one has been.
Can’t forget my state of North Carolina. In spite of the good PR work the media and pamphlets do, there’s a murder(s) almost one or two everyday. That’s over 365 murders or shootings involving drug and gang related deaths. The wrong people have guns. All minorities are really making the Queen city of Charlotte look bad. Not only that, the taxes are VERY high! Many are leaving, many are made to leave. If you can afford a 250,000 home, own guns, and live in gated communities with armed security, Charlotte NC is your place. My advice? Find an “intentional community” of like minded people and establish roots. Keyword: Rural.
Reading over all the posted comments here, I’m dismayed to find that the Prepper world is becoming a Dark Forest filled with amplified fictional fear of the “foreign” and the other.
This saddens and discourages me.
The very folks we should be reaching out to have become the enemy—objects of fear and derision.
Peter,
It is not the immigrants coming but those that have reasons other than wanting a new life away from war that is the problem. You have drug users, dealers, murders, robbers etc. that is mixed in with those ones wanting a new life. As an individual there is no way for you to know who is good and who is bad. So, it is everyone is an enemy until proven otherwise. This is because if you let someone in, he might kill you before you realize he’s bad.
The reason you are seeing a dark forest as you call it is because people are just beginning to realize the true situation.
20 years ago, you would not have seen this because there was a lot less crime, murder, and unrest. These factors cause everyone that has a logical or common since mind to reevaluate how important their own life and property is.
Since there is no sign on people that say I am bad, or I am good then the only thing that tells you is their actions. Their actions can be like you do while hunting, camouflaged. If you trust the camouflaged ones, then you open you and your family up and reduce your chance of survival.
don’t feed the trolls.
the only thing i have to say is to look at the facts and the prison population by race and that will answer your doubts
My friends,
The bad people have always been there. There are no race or races that is bad but there are cultures that are bad. Some of these cultures want complete control and others want to force their beliefs on you.
The people that are in prison are supposedly bad people, but the way legal systems work around the world you cannot label any particular person bad just because he or she was sent to prison. This is a proven fact innocent people have been sent to prison. But if they are bad, they will show their colors in a short time and then you will know. This means YOU have to protect yourself because no one else can. You can have 24/7 guards and if someone wants to harm you, they will find a way. So, you must learn to protect yourself then teach your family how.
Brenda, I do not believe race actually places a roll in why the prisons have more of one race than another. Economics, job availability and area play more of a role than race.
