Movies are a fantastic way to escape into another world for a couple of hours, but they also hold the power to make us think and start conversations about topics such as survival and preparedness.
What follows is my list of ten nuclear war movies you should watch before it is too late.
The Manhattan Project
The Manhattan Project is not a movie about nuclear war but about the nuclear weapons themselves. This was one of those movies that I would watch as a kid when it came on TV during a rainy lazy Saturday afternoon.
The plot centers around 17-year-old Paul and his girlfriend, who discover that a pharmaceutical company is secretly producing weapons-grade plutonium.
To expose this, Paul decides to steal some of the plutonium and build a working nuclear bomb for the national science fair.

I won’t spoil the plot any further, but this movie shows that it is entirely plausible for the right person to build an atomic weapon using publicly available information.
On The Beach
There are two versions of this movie based on the 1957 book written by Nevil Shute. The first film adaptation of the book was released in 1959, with another made-for-TV film being released in 2000.
The story takes place in Melbourne, Australia, after a nuclear war has decimated the northern hemisphere.
An American submarine docks at the city and brings news that the war has eliminated all life in the northern hemisphere. In addition, there are clouds of radioactive dust that are slowly working their way south.
The story examines how society might handle the knowledge that an unseen and intangible threat is at their doorstep.
It has been many years since I’ve watched this film, but I remember coming out of the experience and contemplating how I would react to knowing that humanity had only a few months left.
The Road
The Road is a bleak, depressing, and dark movie based on a 2006 book written by Cormac McCarthy.
Having read the book and watched the movie, I can say that it is a very faithful adaptation of the source material. The plot follows a man and his son as they travel south along desolate interstate highways toward warmer climates and the ocean. Along the way, they encounter other survivors and face many challenges.
In addition, we get to see what ordinary people revert to after a cataclysm during their travels.
⇒ How To Build An Underground Bunker For Only $400
While neither the book nor the movie specifies the cataclysmic event, the setting bears striking similarities to a nuclear winter, so I chose to include it on this list.
Wargames
Wargames is up there with The Manhattan Project as my favourite 80’s nuclear war movie.
The plot follows a teenager named David who accidentally hacks into NORAD through a back door. He finds what he believes is a game called Global Thermonuclear War, but he doesn’t know that the system he has hacked into is not a video game company, and the game he is playing runs the risk of playing out in real life.
I like this film because it illustrates that sometimes the only thing that may prevent a nuclear exchange is a piece of software.
The Sum Of All Fears
Read the book if you had to choose between reading the Tom Clancy novel Sum Of All Fears or watching the 2002 movie of the same name.
The book is far better, and I felt that I got more out of reading the book than I did watching the film.
The Sum Of All Fears plot revolves around a plan by terrorists to detonate a nuclear weapon at the Super Bowl while staging another attack on an aircraft carrier.
They hope this will lead to nuclear war between Russia and the United States.
This movie is another that does not involve a full-scale nuclear war but is an example of how easily we can find ourselves on the receiving end of Armageddon.
Crimson Tide
Crimson Tide is another movie with no active nuclear conflict but a narrowly averted one.
The plot of this film centers on the conflict between the Captain of an American nuclear submarine and his XO.
The dispute arises when they receive orders that get cut off, and the Captain wants to carry out a launch, but the XO wants to surface to confirm the message before starting World War Three.
This is a pretty good movie and an excellent examination of the people that are ultimately responsible for launching nuclear weapons at our enemies.
Thirteen Days
People of a particular vintage will remember the Cuban Missile Crisis.
The movie Thirteen Days was released in December 2005 and is a good dramatization of the crisis’s events and how the two sides found a way to resolve the conflict without mutually assured destruction.
It has been a long while since I’ve watched this movie.
Related: 24 Movies That Will Teach You a Lot About Survival
But I found it very eye-opening, mostly because I never learned the particulars or how close we came to total destruction during those days.
The Day After
The Day After is a made-for-TV movie that takes place in a small Kansas town in the early 1980s.
The movie’s events involve an escalating conflict between the United States and Russia, whose climax is a full-scale nuclear exchange between the two nations.
The movie is a good examination of how people would react in the lead up to, during, and after a global war.
While the movie takes place in the early 80s, I think the messages it delivers are still valid today.
Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior
No list of post-apocalyptic movies would be complete without including The Road Warrior.
Mad Max 2 is the sequel to the original Mad Max and takes place after a global nuclear war turned Australia into a desolate wasteland starved of resources such as fuel.
The story follows the title character Max who helps some people who have a working fuel refinery to transport their precious fuel supply away from the biker gang attacking them.
It is easy to pick apart a movie like this regarding the aspects of post-apocalyptic life that it gets horribly wrong. However, this movie illustrates how hungry a post-apocalyptic world will be for any resources we take for granted.
The Postman
The Postman is a movie based upon the 1985 novel of the same name written by David Brin, and was released in December 1997.
I would admit that the movie is not a very good one, and the book is a far better choice if you had to choose between the two.
However, the film is still well worth a viewing because it is a decent examination of how a post-war society may structure itself and how some people may use their talents to exploit others.
The plot follows an unnamed drifter many years after an apocalypse that is never truly defined. Still, we can infer that it involved an EMP attack on the United States at the bare minimum.
⇒ Click Here To Learn How An EMP Will Affect Your State
The drifter finds a crashed US postal truck and takes the uniform of the dead driver for warmth. Before this discovery, he was trading performances of Shakespeare for food and lodging.
Now he decides to use the uniform to pretend to be a postal worker to con his way into communities so he can get food and shelter.
These are only a few of the many films that center around nuclear warfare, but each movie has something to offer the prepper and survivalist.
At the very least, it can be an excellent way to open the preparedness discussion amongst those close to us who may not have taken these threats very seriously.
Here is a very practical physical book called No Grid Survival Projects that was created to help people survive off-grid for a long period of time, after societal collapse.
Threads (1984), a must see for the lead up and consequences of a nuclear war. I have just put a YouTube video up on it today ?
Threads would have bee No1 in my opinion, quality movie.
TV show Jerico from about 2006 is more accurate, it is about multiple Nuclear bombs set off in the US by guess who – our own government – yea you don’t find that out until the end of the series, but it was very good. Search on it not sure if you can see it on streaming or not, but it is worth watching – includes EMPs as well as all the other crap the Goverment will do to us
I loved the series
I agree. Jericho should be in this list. We bought the DVD’s several years ago and watch it every few years.
I enjoyed that show. It was supposedly cancelled due to back if viewership. As time has gone on I think it had too many viewers and they totally got that our government would take us out.
If an internal nuclear attack ever occurs in this country without a major failure of our satellite assets perhaps we should rethink just who the enemy really is. These words are shocking and they are intended to be because all of us should know that America has the technical capability to stop any attack in its tracks if anyone tries to sneak nuclear weapons into this country. This is how we know because during the 1980s I worked as a Senior Systems engineer for several DOD companies in San Diego(Advanced Digital Systems and SAIC). While in this position I was tasked with developing a fleet satellite catastrophic restoral plan for the Joint Chiefs of Staff. My group was to develop a method for satellite intelligence restoral in the event of a space born Nuclear Strike by the Soviet Union. In the course of this study we had to review all satellite capabilities and characteristics both current and projected through the early 90s. A series of satellites planned to begin deployment in 1989….They carry special sensor devices (Developed by SAIC) that can detect high -velocity -spin-off particles from enrich uranium(necessary for nuclear devices). Due to the small size and velocity of these particles no amount of shielding can block them: not Lead, not earth( Sub-terrrainian). Radiation hazards from the particles are minimal due to limited quantity. Our satellites are foolproof in detecting and pinpointing the location of enriched uranium throughout the world. Did you realize our satellites have this capability? They can accurately sense the high velocity spin-off particles from enriched uranium even if the device is encased in lead or buried in the earth! This capability means that we know the EXACT location of every nuclear warhead in the world. Add to all of this that monitor and radioactive isotopes is not unique to us you cannot just adequately Shield Isotopes from detection the amount of lead is Impractical to transport radioactive material undetected. Russia,, China and the European Union can also monitor radioactive material like this. All radioactive material is cataloged with each having their own unique signature or identifying markers, point of origin and Country in position of said materials. All radioactive material being transported legally and illegally can be monitored by satellite surveillance.
I pay attention to science, space and war. I have never heard of this stuff. If what you are writing is true, I feel somewhat comforted (aside from all the crap going on today 2-19-24). Thanks for the info.
Another good movie from back in 1962 was “Panic in The Year Zero.” This definitely belongs on the list.
hummmm – about a 1/3rd aren’t even nuke oriented – along with The Day After and Threads there’s Testament from the early 1980s ….
in some ways the best of the three – a small N CA town slowly dies of radiation after a nuke strike on the country – not exactly realistic in some regards like the food supply – but it’s a deserving movie to be mentioned in a PAW category …..
Yes. This movie (Testament) along with The Day After still give me nightmares, and reliving them again these days.
God so loved the world that he sent his only son, Jesus ( English) , that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16. Receive jesus, by believing he died for your sins on the cross and has forgiven you. Now go and do likewise.
PANIC IN YEAR ZERO (1962) BW
just started a prepper discussion posting about Panic In Year Zero on a forum site – free mp4 download of the movie to give the international circuit a fair shot also >> great movie to discuss the positives & negatives prepping of the involved nuke SHTF …
One I remember vividly from my youth was “Special Bulletin’: “…a terrorist group brings a homemade atomic bomb aboard a tugboat in the harbor of Charleston, South Carolina in order to blackmail the U.S. Government into disabling its nuclear weapons, and the incident is caught live on television. The movie simulates a series of live news broadcasts on the fictional RBS Network.”
It ends with the nuke going off during a live broadcast and causing massive destruction. It’s a very 80s film, but we’ll done.
Or “Miracle Mile” where a guy out for a date picks up a ringing phone and hears a guy on the other end telling him to evacuate because they’ve just launched a nuclear attack on the USSR. it’s a wrong number, but the hysteria builds through the movie, as everyone in the diner realizes that the world may be ending. The ending is pretty dark, but I remember it being a well-done, and rather chilling film.
Interesting YouTube
The day after is a great movie, but only the ORIGINAL, the remake sucks canal water. On the Beach is another good flic. And some mentioned Panic in year Zero. All good flics. MAD MAX oh well its MAD MAX .
Should also add “Z for Zachariah” and “By Dawn’s Early Light”
How crazy is this!!!!
I’m in Normandie (the last war took place in our garden – well some of it) and by day, we’re building a Solaris Cell (www dot Solaris-france dot org and look for vid with the English subtitles).
We’re working to prepare our small community of (still too drowsy) but wonderful people to be part of a growing network of inter-connected humans helping each other create the resilience we’ll need going into the future.
And now, it looks like i’ll be tempted to spend my evenings watching disaster movies :o))
But you know what? I will not, because I can’t afford to let my guard down and let my resolve slip. This is Hollywood propaganda, designed to keep us fearful and cowed. Turn your back on their ‘theatre’ and spend those precious hours making contact with the humans around you. I know some of you are very strong, strong enough to treat those films as the comedy they are, however, I’m willing to bet that some amongst us are not, and for us, watching this crap is not at all good for the psyche. This article could be improved by changing the title to “Movies to avoid as you risk ending up depressed and fearful. Which is why they were made in the first place”
Bon chance tous le monde
Liberté! Égalité! Fraternité! As we say here.
Good on you for doing what you’re doing. I’m a full blown prepper trying to convince some friends that going “lone wolf” or “Mad Max” is the wrong way to go. We have to rely on others to make it through. Make your contacts before they’re needed.
The movie “the ROAD” is not about a nuclear war, but about the aftermath of the Yellowstone Super volcano exploding. Then a great part of the US , and problaby more is covered in ash….
Then it is very hard to survive…
Why were movies that did not specifically involve a nuclear war included in this article? And then others included only involved situations where a single nuclear attack was involved. Is it because “3 Nuclear War Movies You Should Watch Before It’s Too Late” doesn’t fill up a page?
I think it’s so some new to it, get a broader idea of human interaction out in the world for those that hadn’t thought about it. Two movies that don’t apply but come to my mind when I think of survival frenzy is The Book of Eli. Though like mad max, more about the characters, it still showed what you may confront when people left go in extreme mode. And The happening,(I know silly), only because it shows frantic people grasping at what to do and where to go with no answers as to what’s happening or how to reach anyone. The bulk of society at the beginning. And they will eventually find their way toward your out of the way retreat and want refuge. First politely, then aggressively. As mentioned in other articles it would be best to consider living in small groups vrs single family because they may happen upon your property in either small or perhaps larger groups. But if they are also survivors, and aggressive, it will take more planning to be able to stand ones ground and protect ones family. Actually, based on the recent Tx murders by escaped convict, or mass school shooting, family preparing for the unexpected is more in the forefront.
Context for survival and how people behave in a crisis. I have seen half of them.
Any one ever heard of Stanislav Petrov ? True Story !
He’s the only Communist I Like.
While not a movie — YET — a good book(s) called “One Second After” and it’s 2 sequels “One Year After” and “The Final Day” by William Forstchen are 3 must read EMP attack aftermath books. Set in a small Western North Carolina town called Black Mountain (a real town where I live) tells the story of how 1 small town handles the aftermath of a EMP strike by SOMEONE, possibly terrorists or China or Russia, and how this small town handles the everyday trials and tribulations attached to such a Crisis. How they handle food, medicine, roving marauders and a “new” government that uses the war to takeover the USA by a group that wants a “new” totalitarian government that has complete control and is run by the former DC “elite” holed up in a huge bunker in West Virginia. Forstchen has actually written papers for the government about such things and scenarios of how it should be handled. His books have actually been cited on the floor of congress as a “what if” scenario. He is a professor at Montreat College in Black Mountain and he uses familiar places of the town in the book. I have read all 3 3 times already and will do so again. They are hard to put down once you start. Warner Bros originally had the movie rights but they were sold an unknown movie company. Now it appears that in 2021 a TV series is in the making.
I listened to the first two in the series, very enlightening! Made me even more diligent in my own prep, especially regarding pharmaceuticals. However, I didn’t think the 2nd book was as engaging as the first. The first is more about survival, the 2nd more war-oriented.
These are the best books ever published about survival after a nuclear attack. Always wondered about why no movie about these but I believe that the subject is too sensitive to be addressed. Even the recent research and presentations to Congress, even Forstchen’s, have been suppressed from the general public, even though this scenario appears more likely every day.
One second after started my travel down the preparation road. Have read all three and are excellent “field manuals” to learn about human nature and what to expect in such a scenario.
William,. If you really liked that series( which was AWESOME), then you should try the series “GOING HOME” by A. America!! It’s an INCREDIBLE, REALISTIC series of about 8 books!!
EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS SERIES!!!
It revolves around an EMP , what happens, what doesn’t happen, what people do, what they don’t do, what they should do!!
It will get you thinking, researching & prepping!!
Deanna: Good Reads calls it one of the most popular books of 2022. I loved Alas, Babylon and Wolf And Iron. 2 very good teaching novels niio
I concur. The Going Home series is an excellent lession in prepping with family and friends, neighbors, dealing with bad actors, setting up patrols and helping the less fortunate. Very realistic.
It’s on book eleven and after book 5 they jumped the shark. Nice author but really should of ended the series or combined a few of the books
Deanna, You are correct. This series by A. American is a great book series. I read one after the other. So far there’s 13 books in the series. Savings #13 for a special occasion like a fine wine.
First one is decent…. the other two are just fillers…
Been waiting for this movie to come out since I read it years ago. We see previews for all kinds of stupid stuff and remark all the time about how such stupidity exists yet they haven’t made OSA into a movie yet.
Oh yes, those 3 books by William Forstchen are very good. I gave them to a friend of mine who is a Vietnam vet, he could not read them, they scared him so much. But they were very exciting and I thought very real-to-life scenarios.
Five Years After is out now too. The same series, but none of them are as good and realistic as the first one, One Second After.
This is definitely not my favorite POTUS, but his words could not be more true and fitting today:
“The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself”.
—Franklin Delano Roosevelt
Fear is the greatest emotion to overcome and the enemy of freedom and liberty knows this all-to-well. Given the most recent events of the plandemic used to scare the American people into allowing fraudulent mail-in ballots to elect one of the most corrupt politicians in our lifetime, Brandon. Let’s not forget about the massive gov’t borrowing, spending and run-away inflation meant to crush the America people via CPS (Cloward-Pivon Strategy).
And…
The threat of war with Russia, shortages of important resource and gov’t tyranny by Elites, Big Tech and the political Left, which has proven to be deadly.
Fail to prepare; prepare to fail.
FDR the American that made Americans die fighting a facist German leader. Meanwhile he was the evil fascist himself.
stop scaring me. We agreed! LOL. FDR was a fast friend of hitler’s and admired hitler’s elitist version of communism enough it became dnc platform. Read The Kennedy Curse on Joe Kennedy. the bio was fact-checked by the Kennedy family and Joe’s conversion to nazi is well documented. The dnc I was always taught is America’s nazi party.
Not a movie, but an excellent book about the dangers of EMP: One Second After!
Author: William R. Forstchen
1.) One Second After
2.) One Year After
3.) The Final Day
It’s a good series! I own all three and I highly recommend them.
The Road? I thought it was dark comedy. Watch the movie for an expose of what NOT to do. Even the grandkids were shocked at how asinine the jerk was. You do not use main roads post SHTF. It takes place 10 years after civilization dies. Most life is dead. By this time, there should be plants and trees–many of which hard-seed, will not sprout for decades unless conditions are right for survival. Farmers are forever battling weeds that erosion and the moldboard expose. Some may have been washed into the soil or hauled down by earthworms 40 years ago.
The Day After is a better book than movie. The book takes place in a small Florida town that escaped the bombings but now has to survive raiders, kooks, racism, hunger, and radioactive material brought in by people who looted bombed cities. Dated, somewhat but the psychology of survival is excellent.
The Postman is another good movie that aims at keeping freedom and civilization alive for the future.
An interesting Netflix series, The Man in the High Castle examines the premise of a successful WW2 nuclear strike on Washington DC and the defeat of American forces by the Japanese in the West, and the German Nazis eastern US. The Rockies become “The Neutral Zone” .
Of interest, is the dynamics of fascism and the treatment of any who disagree or fail to cooperate…and state sponsored eugenics and racist policies directed against non whites in the East, and non Japanese in the West…inevitably to become a direct conflict between the two Axis allies because “ there can only be ONE ‘Master Race’ .”
We are heading down this path already, but China sees itself as THE original civilization, a superior political and cultural entity, to the exclusion of all others.
Of note, is how people survive these ideologies and work around them covertly and navigate within society. Cultivating networking opportunities may be key to survival. Shared skill sets, and a willingness to subvert the powerful elites…by risking one’s life to do so. So studying tactics of The French Resistance and spy craft may also be helpful. Learn how to communicate through back channels, use cryptography and ciphers…hide messages in plain sight.
I dumped NETFLIX after Cuties came out. I’m surprised that more people haven’t dumped them because everything they offer (more recent productions) have a political agenda or an aim at the destruction of our society.
I find it interesting that China considers itself the master race, the original owners of the earth. Yet, they have to steal and reverse engineer our technology to keep up or get ahead of us. They have no original thinking because their society has turned so far inward that they are breeding out intelligence and dumbing down their people, though the same can be said about the US dumbing down our future generations.
MissMac: It’s coming. Washinton had 3 visions in Valley Forge and the last one is the black clouds. His stepson made them into a play about 1803. Black clouds is the destruction of the coasts and all major cities at the invasion of hordes of people from N. Africa and Asia. When the vision ends, not much is left, and not many Americans, but we win. Some discussions on this states this will be done to us as an act of compassion to keep us out of the tribulation. That we will survive a great deal better than nations that fall to the antichrist. niio
Fail Safe is an old movie about nuclear war that always make me stop and think about how fragile the whole system is.
What? No Fail Safe?
Also not a movie, but “Jericho” was a TV series, 2006-2008 on CBS; available on IMDb, “The citizens of a small Kansas town panic when a nuclear mushroom cloud appears on the horizon, leaving them isolated from the outside world.” It only ran for 2 seasons, but there was a 3rd series published as a comic book.
There was no video taken of the incident… but very much akin to a nuclear catastrophe was Thanksgiving 2021 at a relative’s house. I made the error of discussing the Rittenhouse Verdict, although objectively, around the wrong young person.
Oops, won’t do that again.
well, at least now you know who NOT to discuss anything about how you are preparing
The person’s behavior was shameful. Additional shame was due to the mother of said young person, who was full of reasons why they were JUSTIFIED in behaving so poorly. It’s what’s wrong with America and it’s what’s wrong with some of my family too. Not knowing when to shut up and exercise general self-control is a grievous burden to the rest of one’s family, if not the nation.
Both of them are welcome to whatever I have whenever food or shelter is needed, but I will not tolerate garbage at my place… and definitely not in a SHTF world.
I so want to get myself a new AR15 and place the wrapped gift under the in-laws’ tree this Christmas… “it’s just like Kyle’s!”…. I will think of such things, but probably not do them.
If you want a fight to break out at a family gathering, just start “discussing” either politics or religion. Within minutes, voices will start rising along with the tensions. The arguments will continue even after everybody has left, and could well continue for weeks to come.
That’s where i shine the best and add fuel to that fire
It’s good for the snowflake Marxist to get a dose of reality.
bob: sometimes they do, usually they melt when hit with the light 🙂 niio
To Brian Myers:
I believe a lot of our country is blind to the fact of which party is the enemy of our free country! It was the Trump people that started the false statements about a stolen election before there was even an election. It was the Trump world that tried a coup of our great nation, and no one else can be blamed for this. You can repeat the lies about the stolen election, when there was and never will be any proof, because it wasn’t true!!!
There ARE significant anomalies. You just refuse to see it. The enemies are not just Dems. There are plenty of elitist pandering, money hungry, power drunk, SOBs in Wash DC. They are busy ignoring average Americans of all races in favor of fringe minority interests…screaming “democracy “ and “equity”. It is no longer about equal protection under the laws, it is about pushing a humanist, anti Christian, anti-white agenda. If you want to live in Venezuela or Cuba…you are more than welcome to pack and go. Leave your citizenship behind when you do.
Oh Jimbo. You either have a short memory or no memory because the talk about stolen elections goes back to Bush Vs. Gore, and I’m sure that if I were to give it greater thought or if an online search was conducted, there would be other examples of the political Left insisting that they were robbed. It’s even said that JFK was fraudulently elected thanks to the Mob in Chicago.
The actual coup d’eta took place when 5-States stopped counting ballots within the same hour only to return hours later without Republican pole watchers—FACT. The rules being changed right before the election in several States, the recounting of ballets in support of Brandon, the illegal ballots harvesting and the suppression of Hunter Biden’s laptop. I could go on about the TECH sector too. All fact.
The documentary, “2000 Mules” provides proof of illegal ballot harvesting. There is proof, if you want to see it!
Also how can a court including SCOTUS say there is no evidence of fraud when they won’t even look at the evidence presented to them? Also many of the changes made in voting procedures were done ILLEGALLY because a judge/court or a governor does NOT have the power to change ANYTHING in the states voting procedures. It MUST go through the states legislature. So all these votes that were allowed to be counted AFTER the deadline are ILLEGAL VOTES. It’s also why Pelosi et al are trying to push voting changes on the federal level. That also requires a constitutional amendment and not simple vote or new law in congress. This is all laid out IN the Constitution. And now recently we are seeing a lot of fraud being PROVEN in the so called “battle ground states” such as PA,GA etc. It’s just not being covered in the MSM.
Newsom placed mall-in ballots into law, to force more illegals to vote. He is pushing for the 2024 presidential election.
Can’t people see how ‘F’ up Cali is? And he and VP Chuckles came from the San Fransicko clan. More of Obama’s forth term, noway.
Bob voting is pointless and not going to matter anyways.
Brian, stolen elections go back at least to Jefferson, who passed a law forbidding vote buying. His opponent lost badly, but Jefferson won. His opponent obeyed the law. niio
Meg: Voting may be pointless to you, but if not registered, you vote, anyway, and will never know. Enough and honest politicians (take that with a grain of salt) are screaming mad and getting work done to stop voter fraud. Liberals/nazis, are losing so many people from their party especially in lib states the uproar is deafening. Repubs are taking solid dem seats, and working to oust and jail people like pelosi, fauci, schumer. Gitmo would be good, but i hear we have places around the world to keep them from becoming the next friend of the clintons before they can rat out their Kameraden in the nazi jackass party. niio
Because Republicans are any better lol. Dude the voter fraud was so obvious and in your face. Yet nothing will happen to fix it. Vote all you want. We don’t have anyone who shares our views supporting us.
Meg? What year are you in? vote or not, vote you will. A non-vote was a vote for the dnc. News for your blues, no politicians is any better than constituents allow him to be. When they lose fear of being fired, they try to take over. this is why we want term limits. The longer someone is in office, the easier it is to get blackmailed. Pelosi is losing her spot as Eve Braun’s heir because repubs are fighting. Hillary the genocidal beast decided to get out of the 2024 race now. Dems lost over a million members. American Hispanics are talking to illegals who were given the right to vote and told them, yo, you really want to make us like where you came from? When you vote, they can’t tell who you are, so vote like you should. It’s 2022, not 1865. Rise and shine, chico.
Willilson, it’s been reported and yet to be refuted that Justice Roberts threw an all-out foul mouthed screaming tantrum when his American Patriot colleagues were debating their role and subsequent action into the 2020 election irregularities and fraud. Roberts claimed that we’d see civil unrest should they intervene. There wasn’t much doubt that there was fraud and that it had in fact altered the 2020 elections.
Now, let’s consider the political Left’s position, attitude and rhetoric on the elections:
1.) Anyone who questions the most secure election in history is a Russia agent.
2.) Brandon received more votes than any POTUS in history, so it must be so…
3.) 50 (ish) ex-government intelligence agency employees came forth to certify not only that the election was secure, but that Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation, which turned out to be B.S.
4.) “We the People” know what we saw and heard. We know there was a huge coverup. Everything that’s been uncovered has been fraudulently labeled, smeared and lied about. If I’m incorrect, along with millions of Americans, why has the political Left not been willing and able to prove us wrong?! The only people supporting the fraud are people who gain from the corruption.
Another noteworthy comparison is the 2016 inauguration Vs. the 2020 inauguration. Look up the footage where you’ll see burning cars, buildings and dumpsters in one and peaceful protests in the other. Guys which one is which, JIMBO!!!!
Bryan sorry I don’t know what happened with my name its not Willilson its William. And it SHOULD have used my Bubba moniker anyway. My first comment was about the Books by Fortchner “One Second After” and the other 2.
Yes I heard about Roberts hissy fit. But I think what really got me was that somebody said we can’t have the election thrown out because it would put this country in a crisis and Roberts didn’t want that to happen on HIS WATCH. <MY opinion is thats not THEIR job to decide IF it would somehow put the country in some kind of jeopardy its their job to decide if it was done right in the first places and damn the torpedoes full speed ahead. So nobody on SCOTUS had the balls to do the right thing and now we DO have a crisis created by the current prez. Had Trump continued on we would still have gas less than 2 bucks a gallon, still have baby formula on the shelves, NOT have inflation at over 11%, NOT have food up over 11% and most likely NOT have Putin invading Ukraine because he was afraid of Trump. NOBODY is afraid of the moron in office now. I would much rather have a COMPETENT man in the WH who was a bit outspoken and tells it like it is than a nimrod who can't even put a sentence together or find the bathroom. I'm NOT surprised we do NOT have an adult diaper shortage.
Jimbo: Glen Beck said it best, the left is desolate because all those conspiracy theories have come true. If you think the rnc is the enemy, guess what, there are over 400,000 slaves in the US who don’t. Many of them were brought in since biden was chosen to replace Trump. FDR was a anzi and fast friend to hitler. Kennedy spent his time from the 30s to his death hoping the US would become a nazi nation. When the dnc needs a strong arm, they call on the KKK of nazis to help. Like my stepmother would say, you sieg heil with the best of them.
Watch 2000 Mules, End of Discussion. WAKE UP!!
Good documentary however it will do nothing
Everyone forgot Damnation Alley loved that movie.
Terry: Good thing, and I’ve seen parts of it. niio
This Is How You Actually Survive a Nuclear Attack
Mark: Good, thanks you. niio
Personally, I think the hysteria over nuclear war is fear porn because the key factor in the ability to control people is based upon electronic surveillance via your phone, cameras, etc. and a nuclear war would negate their control. The amount of information generated by electronic surveillance is absolutely staggering. We’ve succeeded our freedoms to the highest bidder willingly, but without consent. No one ever asked me if they could data mine my personal habits and private information, but that’s what I ultimately agreed to by using electronic products like cell phones and Internet shopping, etc. and we all continue on as if it’s no big deal. So, why would they push any given war to the point of MAD?!
If the goal of globalists is depopulation, they don’t need to surveil the dead post a nuclear war.
“Watch, therefore; for ye know neither the day or the hour in which the Son of Man cometh.” (Matthew 25.13,KJV) Read Matthew 24.3 – 25.46 and pray.
Glad somebody mentioned Fail Safe, also it’s doppleganger, Kubrick’s Dr. Starngelove. Like On The Beach, Strangelove ends with the world being destroyed by enhanced radiation warheads. Sadly, it is very probable that putting a jacket of cobalt around a nuclear warhead would create a great deal of fallout with a half life measured in generations. Also dealt with in A Canticle For Leibowitz, by Walter Miller. Another good book is Alas Babylon, the 1st of the nuclear apocalypse genre. Hollywood does seem afraid to make movies on this subject. And Hiroshima by John Hersey is the only book that deals with the aftermath of a real world nuclear strike.
Read most of the books, Saw some of the movies.
In comparison, the books were very good, most of the movies suck
I have seen some of those movies.
Here is my take on a nuclear war –
those killed instantly are going to be the fortunate ones.
those suffering from radiation and contamination then dying will be the least fortunate ones.
Those surviving will learn to adapt.
The Twilight Zone: (1961) The Shelter comes to mind.
The Twilight Zone: (S3 E1) Two also comes to mind.
crazy: What was the one that survivors were starving, but the leader, hidden in a cave, tells them most of the food they find is contaminated by radiation. They revolt and find a computer, destroy it and die from eating the canned food. I think Tele Savalis was in it. niio
I love what was said about Telly Savalas: “He could make bad slang sound like good slang, and he could make good slang sound like lyric poetry.”
Whenever there is a creepy, anxious scene in Kojak, I tell my wife “fetch me my flute, and turn up the reverb, baby…” because creepy flute music with excess reverb just dominates many of the tense scenes in Kojak.
The Book of Eli
A book that should be read is Alas, Babylon by Pat Frank. Great read and ideas as to what can be done ahead of time.
A favorite of mine.
BTW: Have you read “Rankin, Enemy of the State”, by John Osier?
Although interesting, and I have seen all of the movies; this is not a post-nuclear war listing. Maybe, survivalist/prepper/EOW?
I was interviewed on local TV following “The day After”, Having been a specialist in this area I tactfully explained that even with a full blow attack. 25% of the weapons would fall in flight or not launch from an advesary. Also 25% of the population lives in rural America and are not targetted. Key point: When was the last time you drove by a Chinese or Russian car dealership? Never, because of the poor quality of their vehicles. If they have trouble building cars, I’m not going to be overly worried about their missles.
Doc
Doc, As a doctor and knowing other doctors, how many do you think will be willing to set up a make-shift medical clinic after a societal breakdown? I know that there are high numbers of doctors who are willing to travel to remote villages and help. They set up clinics with limited equipment and housing in those remote places. And then, there are the other kinds of doctors. With the government restrictions of what doctors can say and do, even if their medical training plus experience is contrary to the government, many doctors chose keeping their jobs and not doing what is medically best. What is your perspective on what might happen in a worst case scenario?
Or, maybe this could be the theme for a movie script you could write?
I have 2 families. My biological family all live in Utah. My Church family is worldwide. When the crap hits the fan and we see dissolution of civil order, people will resort to tribes for group security which has been the standard for thousands of years. A tribe is family with grandpa as chief whether that be Native American, Scottish or African. Take a look on facebook at Deseret Ranch in Florida which is Church owns and has almost as much land holding as the State does in State forest. People gotta eat. Seventy miles by 50 miles, Orlando airport to the ocean, and this is only one of many farms. I am ready to go were assigned by the Church. They mobilized every male over 14 east of the Mississippi River and south of the Mason-Dixon in less than 24 hours. Our unit housed and fed 2000 men who covered thousands of homes with our tarps over a weekend following a hurricane. A newly purchased plot in the Florida panhandle includes 5 counties of the former St. Joe paper company. They have strawberry, Orange, Tomatoe farms worldwide. We survived the depression and turned down the government help, with zero unemployment and labor provided to farmer in exchange for food and have been doing this ever since. People need to get on the stick and plan to grow food as groups.
Ah yes the LDS cults
Bruce: Nuclear bombs and things possibly smaller. With the border open, how much is coming in and being planted in cities and around military installations? Since they picked biden to be the fall guy to wreck us, security is iron around installations. But, remember that N. Korea is willing to starve mases of people to death to build nukes. China has our tech, handed them by college professors and politicians. At this point chicom are getting desperate. The yen collapsed again. Over 100 revolutions are under way. and they have no means to grow in wealth unless thru a war. Adding to that, that they have millions of Muslims and many in the West who are useful idiots. Look over the border. What do you see? Armed men are coming in. Most of the invasion is OTMs. niio
At the risk of being “racist”, the buzz word of the 2000’s, I remember that my Great-Grandmother had supposedly said that the Bible states when God ends the world the next time, the Yellow Race will be ruling. In addition to this, it will be by fire. I’ve read the Bible but could never find this reference. However, she grew up in the Appalachian Hills of Tennessee, taught English by Missionaries, and she was 1/2 Eastern Cherokee and 1/2 pioneer. At any rate, I suppose Nuclear War would be a major source of fire. I’d be interested in other people’s thoughts. I’ve puzzled over this for years.
Sharon, The Bible does speak of various countries warring in the final days but does not mention skin color. It does have compass points in relation to interactions between countries.
I remember hearing it said, in a half joking manner, back in the 1990’s or so that we should all be learning Mandarin because of the way things were heading.
Your Great-Grandmother’s wisdom of being able to make a meal out of almost anything is very likely. When I look at old recipe books of close to a century ago, people around Tennessee and such were very talented when it came to figuring out how to eat almost anything.
Using Brave search engine, type: revelation lake of fire
sharon: Tsi Yu, vikido. My stepmother and some aunts, all from Germany and Austria, said that. That China was the sleeping dragon that must never be awakened. china is in serious difficulty. They may or may not launch at the world, but how do you deal with a panicked nation? Most of their GDP goes into the military. They were sold or given our nuclear tech and capabilities. Half of Africa and much of Asia is under their thumb. Chicoms have yet to win an outright war, but are masters at dividing and conquering.
If you read Washington’s last prophecy, you know about black clouds and rednecks. He said he was shown black clouds from Africa and Asia descending on America. they wiped out the coasts and all major cities but after several years, after losing most of our population, they were defeated by citizens. I was a little kid when I had a dream along those lines. I asked Dad and he changed the subject. When I was about 16, he asked if I remembered the dream. When I said yes, he took a hand-written copy of the 3 prophecies from his trunk and let me read them. niio
In the Bible, Yahweh did promise to never use water to destroy all life again, but there is absolutely no reference to “Yellow” people ruling the world.
Brian: true, but they knew about Asia. Half the silk coming down the Middle and South silk routes went thru Jerusalem.
It’s interesting how the Chinese have the same creation and flood story as the Hebrews. But then, most of the world does. niio
Not a movie but a great book series is 299 Days by Glen Tate. Takes place in Washington State and takes place before, during and after a partial economic collapse… and it looks like we are heading there!
Yes, I remember the series. 10 books in total. I listened to them a couple years ago and they were pretty good. Narrated by Kevin Pierce.
Kerry: Wolf and Iron is post-EMP about a man trying to get home. niio
People don’t seem to grasp the fact that 90% of the worlds population is, Dependent on, and Directed by electronics and electronic devices. One doesn’t need to drop a bunch of nukes on a country to destroy it. All that needs to be done is to set off a few strategically placed EMP devices, aimed at the country’s infrastructure week-points, ie. Power, Communication, Financial ect. Take those out and at least 60% of the population of those areas will destroy themselves and each other. It all comes down to WHO will be the one to start it, ie. the “First Strike”.
Arizona government is going solar and encouraging people to do so. Tucson passed laws that new buildings going up have to be solar but state laws had to limit that. According to what I can find, an EMP will not affect a solar array. niio
Nice stories but I wouldn’t count on any of them for survival advise. You can find much more realistic advice on the range and effects of nuclear weapons and how long you need to shelter.
The Hunt for Red October should Also be on the list
I would have to say “The Book of Eli” has to be added to the list with Denzel Washington and Mila Kunis.
Hill, David M-
I only have the 1st 9 books of the A. American series!!! I did NOT KNOW, that there were 13!!!!
I met Mr. A American at a Survival/Prepping Expo, many years ago! He was signing & giving away books 1& 2!!
So I am VERY proud of the fact that I have signed copies of this INCREDIBLE series!!

Thank you SO MUCH for letting me know!!

Twilight Zone – The Shelter (S3E3 – episode 68, 29 September 1961)
This should be on there. It is pretty good indicator of The Times we live in. Probably … neighbors wouldn’t even know their neighbor had a shelter. Because the scenario described in this episode would most definitely happen in our very dense urban areas.
Lesson: Don’t tell ANYONE you do any kind of prepping… not family … not closest friend… maybe not even your spouse (if they are not 100% on board).
Triumph by Phillip Wylie. Great book of nuclear war and its after effects.
